Description
General Atomics Electromagnetic Systems (GA-EMS) designs and manufactures first-of-a-kind electromagnetic and electric power generation systems. GA-EMS' expanding portfolio of specialized products and integrated system solutions support critical fleet, space systems and satellites, missile defense, power and energy, and process and monitoring applications for defense, industrial, and commercial customers worldwide.
Our space systems team is looking for a Space Systems Hardware & Software Integration Engineer to lead design, implementation, integration, and test of our hardware in the loop simulation tools. This team member will support multiple programs and be responsible for HWIL simulation tools in our Englewood, CO facilities.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Plan and lead the development of next-generation simulation capabilities, including software and hardware simulations, to support diverse mission requirements. Drive the design and architecture of simulation upgrades, ensuring they meet the evolving needs of space and mission systems. Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including software, hardware, and systems engineers, to implement cutting-edge simulation solutions. Lead the planning and execution of simulation verification and validation activities to ensure system performance and reliability. Drive new business opportunities by optimizing existing simulation capabilities to reduce non-recurring costs and enhance value for future programs. Support program design and readiness reviews. Maintains strict confidentiality of sensitive information. Performs other duties as assigned. Responsible for observing all laws, regulations and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company. Expected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.
