    "requisitionDescription": "<div><p><strong>HPUMC Day School Spanish Teacher (9Month)</strong></p><p><strong>Job Description</strong></p><p>Highland Park United Methodist Church Day School is a great place to work with children! This position is responsible for guiding and caring for our young friends in our all-day, early childhood education program.&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Reports To:&nbsp;</strong>Head of School, Day School&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Ministerial Exemption:&nbsp;</strong>No</p><p><strong>FLSA Status:</strong>&nbsp; Non-exempt &nbsp;</p><p><strong>Campus:&nbsp;</strong>Mockingbird<strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>Working Hours:</strong>&nbsp; This is a part-time position work an anticipated up to 10 hours per week.&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Anticipated Schedule:&nbsp;</strong>Two days per week - 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Job Responsibilities and Duties:</strong></p><p>The Spanish Teacher works as part of our teaching team to develop lessons appropriate for preschool students with an emphasis on colors, numbers, animals, and basic Spanish vocabulary.&nbsp;</p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Plan, and implement the Spanish curriculum</li><li>Collaborate with the Curriculum Coordinator to align the scope and sequence with other curriculum programs</li><li>Communicate regularly with school administrators and other staff as appropriate</li></ul><p><strong>Additional Requirements:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Experience working in an early childhood program required</li><li>CPR and First Aid Certifications (can be completed while employed)</li><li>Demonstrated skill in working with children, planning developmentally appropriate lessons, guiding children, interacting positively with children, parents and co-workers</li><li>Commitment to continuing professional education</li></ul><p><strong>Education and Desired Skills:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>High School Diploma is required&nbsp;</li><li>Early Childhood Education coursework or Child Development Associate (CDA) credential preferred</li></ul><p><strong>Physical Demands:</strong> &nbsp;</p><p>☒&nbsp;Sitting &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;☒&nbsp;Standing &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;☒&nbsp;Walking &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;☒&nbsp;Climbing Stairs &nbsp;&nbsp;☒&nbsp;Fine Motor Skills</p><p>☒&nbsp;Seeing &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;☒&nbsp;Hearing &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;☒&nbsp;Speaking &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;☒&nbsp;Lifting/carrying up to 10-25 pounds &nbsp; <strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>Other Qualifications:</strong>&nbsp; Must be a committed Christian comfortable working in a United Methodist church environment.
