We strive to make sustainable contributions to our people, our communities, and the construction industry.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: rgb(35, 111, 161); font-size: 14pt; font-weight: bold\">Position Summary:</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>The Accounting Manager will be an integral part of the Accounting Department for Ulliman Schutte and its subsidiaries, responsible for daily financial operations, financial reporting, and analyzing financial data to support strategic decision-making. In addition, the Accounting Manager will work closely with the CFO in human resource matters as necessary.<br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: rgb(35, 111, 161); font-size: 14pt; font-weight: bold\">Accounting Manager Responsibilities:</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>General bookkeeping, monthly, quarterly, and annual closing procedures, and other general accounting tasks. </li>\n<li>Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial records.</li>\n<li>Review financial and job-cost data to identify trends and discrepancies, resolving variances.</li>\n<li>Participate in risk management activities related to insurance and bonds for the company.</li>\n<li>Provide guidance and training to team members as needed.</li>\n<li>Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies.</li>\n<li>Assist CFO in administration of benefit programs and weekly payroll processing.  </li>\n<li>Various other duties and projects as they arise. </li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: rgb(35, 111, 161); font-size: 14pt; font-weight: bold\">Qualifications: </span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>5</span><span>+ years of progressive accounting experience; construction industry </span><span>and</span><span>/</span><span>or </span><span>public accounting experience is a plus.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Active CPA and/or CCIFP designation is a plus</span><span>.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Proven ability to </span><span>engage with, </span><span>supervise</span><span>, </span><span>and develop staff effectively.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Strong knowledge of GAAP accounting principles and financial reporting.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Familiarity with </span><span>corporate </span><span>taxes (federal and state income, sales/use, payroll).</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Experience with auditing processes and procedures.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Proficiency</span><span> in </span><span>Microsoft Office and </span><span>accounting software applications, experience with </span><span>Foundation and </span><span>CMiC</span><span> is ideal.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and an ability to recognize inconsistencies.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Strong communication</span><span> and interpersonal skills</span><span>.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Professional and positive demeanor.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n<li><span><span>High commitment to </span><span>maintaining</span><span> ethical standards and confidential</span><span>ity</span><span>.</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: rgb(35, 111, 161); font-size: 14pt; font-weight: bold\">Life With US:</span></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>At Ulliman Schutte, we are an industry leader because of our people.
