    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Excelsior Wellness is seeking a reliable and safety‑focused Part‑Time Lifeguard to support our summer programming and help ensure a safe and welcoming environment. This role is ideal for someone who is attentive and remains calm under pressure.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">The Lifeguard is responsible for monitoring pool activities, enforcing safety rules, and responding appropriately to emergencies. </span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><em><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">This is a seasonal position, with an anticipated start date in early to mid‑June and concluding at the end of August.</span></em></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><em><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Qualifications:</span></em><br>1. Knowledge and ability to evaluate water conditions at aquatics facilities.<br>2. CPR/First Aid certification.<br>3. Lifeguarding certification.<br>4. Ability to adjust programs as necessary to ensure the safety of the visitors and other staff.<br>5. Swimming proficiency and comfort in all types of water conditions.<br>6. Ability to judge and evaluate evolving dynamics of individuals participating in aquatic activities to immediately assess their capabilities and threats to their safety.<br>7. Knowledge of on-site protocols, operational procedures, and safety policies.<br>8. Knowledge of methods and techniques for providing on-site emergency medical services.<br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><em><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Responsibilities:</span></em><br>Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential responsibilities.<br>1. Supervises swimming activities at the aquatics facility and ensures that policies, guidelines, and safety procedures are followed.<br>2. Warns swimmers of improper activities or danger and enforces pool regulations and water safety policies.<br>3. Administers first aid in the event of injury, rescues swimmers in distress or danger of drowning, and administers CPR and/or artificial respiration, if necessary.<br>4. Evaluates conditions for safety and initiates aquatics emergency action plan as required.<br>5. Inspects pool facilities, equipment, and water to ensure that they are safe and usable.<br>6.
