Our aspirations are as follows: </p>\n<ul>\n <li> </li>\n <ul>\n  <li>Create an environment where we hire, retain, and bring to the table people with diverse backgrounds, viewpoints and lived experiences to create a more successful organization.  </li>\n  <li>Ensure fairness, equity, and access to success for all our associates. </li>\n  <li>Create an inclusive workplace where everyone feels valued, safe, able to engage honestly. </li>\n </ul>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The Risk Manager will work closely with and support the Director-Insurance and Risk Management with the management of diverse Private Client Personal Lines and Commercial Lines insurance programs, with various levels of complexities for both Property and Casualty lines of business, including Valuable Articles, Yacht, Aviation, Construction, Farm and Ranch, Management Liability products, and perform due diligence with all new business opportunities.</p>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong>What you will do</strong></p>\n<p>You will be responsible for the management and day-to-day service of complex personal lines, commercial, and personal/commercial hybrid accounts, reporting directly to the Director of Insurance and Risk Management. You will develop and retain consultative relationships with clients and internal business partners, Broker and Carrier business partners. You must also be able to evaluate and educate clients on coverage gaps and newly available coverage options, industry state of the market, as well as emerging trends.</p>\n<p><em><u> </u></em></p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Assist with the development, implementation, and management of comprehensive and competitive insurance programs for the firm’s geographically diverse real estate and asset portfolios and corporate operations, including the negotiation of policy terms and conditions</li>\n <li>Assist with the research, evaluation and make recommendations regarding current and state-of-the-art trends in risk management, safety and loss control strategies.</li>\n <li>Assist with budgets, forecasts, financial reports, premium allocations, premium audits and retro calculations.</li>\n <li>Coordinate claim coverage issues; participate in claim review meetings and analysis of claim reserves</li>\n <li> Provide consultation and technical advice on insurance and risk management issues to business units; laisse with internal and external stakeholders, including partners, lenders, asset and property managers</li>\n <li>Assist with performing asset acquisition due diligence, identifying and analyzing significant risk management and insurance issues, compiling required underwriting data and assisting with making appropriate recommendations</li>\n <li>Assist with establishing contract standards for insurance and indemnification wording; review contracts and other legal documents to evaluate risk related provisions, assuring competitiveness and compliance with insurance and risk management policies</li>\n <li>Assist with internal communication and strategies related to program recommendations and risk management initiatives</li>\n <li>Develop detailed policy summaries for dissemination to lenders, tenants, and other third parties</li>\n <li>Assist with the maintenance of annual records and implementation of our Agency Management System</li>\n <li>Analyze the insurance provided by joint venture partners for compliance with applicable agreements</li>\n <li>Assist with the development of standard processes and procedures for risk management functions</li>\n <li>Assist with the development and implementation of relevant risk management policies, training and communication to ensure the efficient operation of individual operating units</li>\n <li>Other risk management duties as assigned</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Experience and Educational Qualifications</p>\n<ul>\n <ul>\n  <li>10-15+ years of experience in the insurance industry, Risk Management Department or Brokerage a plus</li>\n  <li>Advanced degree or insurance industry certifications (CPCU, ARM) a plus</li>\n </ul>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Strategic and Financial Acumen</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <ul>\n  <li>Strategic thinker, with vision and an entrepreneurial spirit, who anticipates issues, understands outcomes and effects solutions on a proactive basis.</li>\n  <li>Strong analytical skills and negotiating skills.</li>\n </ul>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Organizational and Project Management.</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <ul>\n  <li>Strong organizational, project management and problem-solving skills</li>\n  <li>Effectively prioritizes tasks and projects</li>\n  <li>Effectively identifies/anticipates opportunities, needs and issues; conducts comprehensive research and analysis, guiding clients through a thoughtful process to understand options and the ramifications of choices and makes appropriate recommendations to mitigate risk</li>\n </ul>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Communication</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <ul>\n  <li>Strong relationship management and listening skills</li>\n  <li>Strong presentation and written communication skills</li>\n  <li>Understands differences in communication styles and preferences with the ability to adapt and communicate effectively with all</li>\n </ul>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Personal Attributes</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <ul>\n  <li>Demonstrated high intelligence, integrity, honesty and discretion; maintains confidentiality; Innovative, flexible, down to earth with a good sense of humor.</li>\n  <li>Diplomatic, objective, tactful, non-judgmental, flexible, respectful and pragmatic in all interactions.</li>\n  <li>Demonstrated maturity and judgment; sensitive to the highly personalized and discreet nature of this function; able to provide advice without being intimidated</li>\n  <li>Effective in an entrepreneurial environment</li>\n  <li>Advanced knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, and Word</li>\n  <li>Demonstrates firm’s core values, exuding behavior that is aligned with corporate culture</li>\n </ul>\n</ul>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p>All offers of employment are contingent on your successful completion (where permitted by state law) of a confidentiality agreement and background check.
