    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><div><link href=\"https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/npm/[email protected]/css/froala_editor.pkgd.min.css\" rel=\"stylesheet\" type=\"text/css\">&nbsp;<link href=\"https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/npm/[email protected]/css/froala_style.min.css\" rel=\"stylesheet\" type=\"text/css\"><div class=\"fr-view\"><p>The Physician provides primary, urgent or specialty medical care to patients at the NEMS clinic and performs related duties.<br><br></p><p><strong><u>ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:</u></strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Provides primary,, urgent or specialty care to all patients in accordance with the physician&rsquo;s medical specialty.</li><li>Develops a plan of care for each patient, including: complete medical history, physical examination, diagnosis, appropriate treatment and/or referral, including hospitalization when necessary.</li><li>Provides diagnosis and treats injuries, illnesses, and disorders</li><li>Orders, performs, and interprets diagnostic tests and explains the results to patients</li><li>May hospitalize NEMS patients when appropriate and serve as the attending physicians for the patient during his/her stay in the hospital.</li><li>On rotational basis, serves as the on-call physician when the NEMS clinic is not open.</li><li>Is able to work on Saturday clinic on a rotational basis.</li><li>Stresses on the importance of preventative health care measures and counsels patients</li><li>Prescribes medications or therapies.</li><li>Uses all available resources in diagnosis and treatment, such as laboratory and radiological testing, in an appropriate and cost efficient manner.</li><li>Confers with consulting physicians, nurse, patients, and patient&rsquo;s families concerning treatment and care of patients.</li><li>Refers patients requiring specialist services, but maintains responsibility, assuring that continuity of care is provided.</li><li>Participates in the development and implementation of a regularly updated performance improvements plans for NEMS.</li><li>Adheres to ethical, professional and legal requirements as mandated by federal, state, local and funding agencies.</li><li>Documents electronically with NEMS EHR system.</li><li>Attends all medical staff meeting and participates in the community health center&rsquo;s Quality Assurance program.</li><li>Complies with all state and federal mandated regulations</li><li>Assists in the training of para-professional and non-medical personnel.</li><li>Provides guidance to other health team members in the development of health education materials and programs for registrants and the community at large.</li><li>Provides training or teaching, when appropriate, to medical students, medical residents, nursing students, and other students who come to NEMS for training.</li><li>May provide supervision to mid level providers such as NP or PA.</li><li>Full-time physicians are generally required to maintain hospital privileges, this may include coverage of the emergency room and inpatient services for non-NEMS patients if this is a requirement by the hospital to maintain hospital privileges.</li><li>Performs other job duties as required by manager/supervisor.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong><u>QUALIFICATIONS:</u></strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Graduation from an accredited school of medicine.</li><li>Licensed to practice medicine in the State of California.</li><li>Ability to work as team with other health professionals and non-medical personnel.</li><li>Board eligible or certified in Family Practice, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Ob/Gyn or Emergency Medicine.</li><li>If providing subspecialty or specialty services, be board eligible or certified to that specific specialty or fellowship.</li><li>Current documentation of Basic Life Support is required.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong><u>LANGUAGE:</u></strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Must be able to fluently speak, read and write English.</li><li>Fluent in Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin) is preferred.</li><li>Fluent in other languages are an asset.<strong>&nbsp;</strong></li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong><u>STATUS:</u></strong></p><p>This is an FLSA exempt position.<br>This is an OSHA high-risk position.<br><br><br>Salary: $310,400/Year<br>Forgivable Sign On Bonus: $200,000<br><br></p><p>NEMS is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer welcoming diversity in our workforce.
