Those that do not complete the application will be rejected.</strong></p><p id=\"isPasted\">The Crane Operator is responsible for operating a stationary or traveling crane to lift, move, position, and reposition loads in support of dredging activities. &nbsp;Depresses crane controls to regulate the speed and direction of crane and hoist movement according to written, verbal, or signal instructions.</p><p>Essential Functions (This is not all-inclusive)</p><ul><li>Upholds the Company&rsquo;s commitment to an injury-free workplace; leads and models safe work practices&nbsp;</li><li>Follows all safety rules and regulations as well as all company policies and procedures&nbsp;</li><li>Works safely around machinery; observes and instructs others in proper equipment use; uses/wears all required PPE&nbsp;</li><li>Interprets load charts and plans all lifts</li><li>Determines safe lift parameters and follows established procedures</li><li>Changes oil and filters, fuels, lubricates gears and bearings</li><li>Performs daily safety inspection of crane, barge, associated equipment, wire rope, hooks, slings, and rigging for wear, abrasions, and damage</li><li>Documents in writing every 30 days that a complete inspection of the crane has been performed</li><li>Operates crane according to hand signals from a qualified signal person</li><li>Performs other duties as required</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Minimum Qualifications</p><ul><li>High school diploma or GED is required</li><li>Must be NCCCO, NCCER or CIC certified for the type of crane being operated, must have LBC certification</li><li>Three (3) years plus experience in operating cranes, dredging experience preferred</li><li>Must successfully complete a physical exam every two years</li><li>Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position as outlined in the Functional Job Description&nbsp;</li><li>Must be able to successfully pass all pre-employment screening (observed drug test, fit test) in addition to random drug and alcohol testing&nbsp;</li><li>Must be eligible to work in the US; this position is not eligible for VISA sponsorship.</li></ul><p>Candidates who do not meet the minimum requirements will not be considered.</p>Encore Dredging Partners, LLC is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
