          "text": "<p>Job Description: <br /><br />Senior Development Engineer / Senior Electrical Engineer <br />A R&amp;D team located in North Haven, CT is seeking a Senior Development Engineer / Electrical Engineer to perform hands-on electrical testing and development activities on a surgical robotic system. <br /><br /><br />Education: <br />Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (or Biomedical Engineering with a focus on instrumentation) is required. Master’s degree is a plus. <br /><br />Experience: <br />Prior medical device experience is required, as is demonstrated expertise in verification testing. Strong familiarity with IEC 60601 testing is essential to the role. <br /><br />Essential functions: <br />-    Performs engineering validation testing / electrical testing <br />-    Familiarity with requirements management tools (e.g. Jama / DOORS) <br />-    Engineering report writing <br />-    Quantitative data analysis <br />-    Test method development / validation <br />-    Strong familiarity with Excel and Minitab <br />-    Use of multimeter, oscilloscope, soldering iron <br />-    Prototyping skills a plus, as are rudimentary programming skills <br />-    Prior medical device experience required <br />-    Previous IEC 60601 testing experience is critical <br /><br />Working conditions: <br />-    Job is on site; based in North Haven, CT / 40-50 hours per week <br />-    Reports to Principal engineer <br />-    Standard office setting, surgical lab, operating room, pilot lab, external research organizations, supplier visits <br />-    Travel may be required, but expected to be ?10%<br /></p>",
