Develops policies, procedures and methods to evaluate and improve the quality of products, materials, components and/or operations. Develops, assures and maintains the quality of products and processes, including standard procedures (e.g., ISO 9001:2015, AS9100D family of standards), quality audits/review, Taguchi methods, process reengineering, etc.\n<h2>Impact of the Role</h2>\n<h3>General Profile</h3>\n<ul>\n <li>Supervises the daily activities of support staff or production team members. Does not typically perform the work supervised</li>\n <li>Must have any type of one direct report or more</li>\n <li>Sets priorities for the team to ensure task completion; coordinates work activities with other supervisors</li>\n <li>Problem solving is guided by policies and procedures; receives guidance and oversight from manager</li>\n <li>Consistent exercise of discretion & judgment</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Essential Functions</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Manages the evaluation and monitoring of vendor operations to ensure products and services comply with government and company quality standards.</li>\n <li>Oversees audits and establishes testing procedures.</li>\n <li>Sets KPIs, metrics, specifications, processes, and policies used to evaluate quality.</li>\n <li>Reviews and negotiates service level agreements to ensure performance/quality metrics, responsibilities, expectations, and penalties are defined.</li>\n <li>Creates systems and frameworks to identify, track, and resolve vendor quality issues and develop performance improvement initiatives with partners.</li>\n <li>Develops strategies to identify and assess potential new vendors.</li>\n <li>Leads and directs the work of other employees and has responsibility for personnel actions including hiring, performance management, and termination with concurrence from HR & Senior Leadership. </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Additional Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>First Article Inspections (FAI) </li>\n <li>interface regularly with USG &/or DCMA customers</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Required Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>Required education and experience:</strong> Associate's Degree and 5-7 years' experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/or Experience</li>\n <li><strong>Critical professional related technical skills; computer skills:</strong> Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Preferred Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>Preferred education and experience:</strong> Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Business or other Engineering-related degree preferred</li>\n <li><strong>Certifications: </strong>ISO9001:2015 Lead auditor or AS9100D Lead AuditorSix Sigma Green Belt. Certified Quality Engineer</li>\n <li><strong>Knowledge, skills & abilities:</strong> Contract Negotiation. Issue Resolution. Performance Analysis. Quality Audit. Quality Control/Testing. Quality Improvement. Quality Inspection. Vendor Management. Performance Metrics. Service Level Agreements (SLA). Strategic Planning. Quality Standard Development. Operational Policy Development.
