    "description": "<p><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 72, 118); font-size: 18pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">OVERVIEW</span></span></p>\n<p>Reporting to Director, Design &amp; Implementation, the Manager, QA is responsible for the leadership of quality assurance standards and measures of technology services organization wide.  Using proven analytical and problem-solving skills to develop, establish and enforce these standards, you will validate processes through careful testing to maximize the benefit of investments in enterprise initiatives.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Working in an open and collaborate environment, you will lead a team who works closely with cross functional areas on design, development, implementation and maintenance of applications and business solutions.  You will support the focused delivery on a multi-year digital transformation strategy to support the expansion of extended producer responsibility (EPR) recycling programs across Canada.  </p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: rgb(22, 145, 121); font-weight: bold\">This is a salary paid, remote role, requiring residency in Canada. </span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 72, 118); font-size: 18pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">RESPONSIBILITIES</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Lead the development, establishment, and enforcement of quality assurance measures, and testing standards for new applications, products, and/or enhancements to existing applications throughout their development/product lifecycles.</li>\n<li>Ensure software quality measures comply with regulatory standards, industry standards, and accepted best practices.</li>\n<li>Create methodologies and processes for collection and analysis of data to ensure software, system and product quality.</li>\n<li>Direct the analysis of formal test results to discover and report defects, bugs, errors, configuration issues, and interoperability flaws.</li>\n<li>Direct the analysis of documentation and technical specifications for any new application under deployment or consideration to determine its intended functionality.</li>\n<li>Develop change control processes, practices, and guidelines for new and existing technologies.</li>\n<li>Determine the selection and appropriate usage of automated test tools and data collection tools.</li>\n<li>Develop and write test plans and scripts for tracking defects and fixes in product development, software application development, information systems, and operations systems.</li>\n<li>Apply established metrics to determine the readiness, quality, and operability of software, systems, and products due for release to clients and/or within the enterprise.</li>\n<li>Create and communicate test plans and scripts that will determine optimal application performance according to specifications; revise as needed.</li>\n<li>Conduct internal audits to measure and assure adherence to established QA standards for software development, application integration, and information system performance, and corresponding documentation.</li>\n<li>Coordinate testing of new software to ensure integration into company systems meets functional requirements, system compliance, and technical specifications.</li>\n<li>Communicate test progress, test results, and other relevant information to project stakeholders</li>\n<li>Cultivate and disseminate knowledge of quality assurance best practices.</li>\n<li>Flexible working style, can adapt in a dynamic environment by showing a tolerance for change as new program obligations are implemented.</li>\n<li>Manage all members of the quality assurance team to ensure work timelines are met.</li>\n<li>Train, coach, and mentor assigned QA team members.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 72, 118); font-size: 18pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">QUALIFICATIONS</span></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Education</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.</li>\n<li>Other relevant industry certification and/or designations are an asset.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Experience</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>3+ years direct experience overseeing design, development, and implementation of quality assurance standards for software testing.</li>\n<li>3+ years direct experience as a QA Manager for major application integration and/or major application product release.</li>\n<li>2+ years direct experience managing all aspects of a QA team.</li>\n<li>Strong knowledge of system testing metrics, best practices and methodologies.</li>\n<li>Hands-on experience with ad hoc query programs, automated testing tools, and reporting software.</li>\n<li>Proven data analysis, data verification, and problem-solving abilities.</li>\n<li>Good project management skills and/or substantial exposure to project-based work structures.</li>\n<li>Extensive experience with SAP as well as SaaS applications.</li>\n<li>Experience managing tasks through JIRA and Confluence</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Personal Attributes</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Professional business communicator, advanced written and oral communication skills.</li>\n<li>Highly skilled in coaching, listening, presentation, and interpersonal skills.</li>\n<li>Able to communicate ideas in both technical, and user-friendly language.</li>\n<li>A self-motivated, accountable, and autonomous leader, who still works great in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.</li>\n<li>Proven analytical and creative problem-solving abilities.</li>\n<li>Can effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.</li>\n<li>Bilingualism in English and French is an asset, as is the ability to speak other languages.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: rgb(0, 72, 118);
