We are professional, agile and our goal is to Excel Prep is a day school offering two programs for neurodiverse children. Excel Prep offers two programs: an K-8 academic program for children with learning disabilities and our Academic ABA program for students 6-13 The Excel Prep mission is to provide a nurturing academic setting with a concentrated focus on developing cognitive-linguistic abilities. We center direct instruction, instructional design, and precision teaching as hallmarks of our instruction. We believe that instruction is data driven and founded in educational research..</p>\n<p>Director of Student Success is responsible for the daily operational management of the school</p>\n<p>specifically in the area student academic and social success. Student success is in direct</p>\n<p>alignment of teacher evaluation, lesson planning, compliance, safety, and parent communication.</p>\n<p>This role works in collaboration with the Head of School. Direct Reports include Special</p>\n<p>Education Coordinator, Early Childhood Coordinator, and Intake Manager. This role prioritizes</p>\n<p>fostering an accountable, nurturing, and supportive educational environment for students and</p>\n<p>families.</p>\n<p>Job Deliverables:</p>\n<p>Daily Operations</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Orient staff to job description and delivery.</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensure that staff are working within their designated roles.</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Serve as teacher support and first level problem solver to support parent and student</li>\n</ul>\n<p>challenges.</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Support staff development in co-planning professional development and coaching needs</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Support staff development and compliance within, toward, and for state requirements and</li>\n</ul>\n<p>any regulating bodies including Illinois State Board of Education and Clinical Service</p>\n<p>Delivery</p>\n<p>Student Outcomes and Success</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Create weekly and monthly reports that capture data reports of student learning and</li>\n</ul>\n<p>progress</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Develop and log student maladaptive behavior data</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Work and collaborate with leadership in publications including student success and</li>\n</ul>\n<p>performance data</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Orient new staff to their roles and conduct ongoing training to their roles</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Train staff use of and expand the use of PBIS for individual student and progress.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Research and Program Development</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Assist in research proposal writing and development for (grant writing)</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Develop new school programs (short or long term) that benefit student and community</li>\n</ul>\n<p>success + collaboration</p>\n<p>Teacher Trainer and Mentor</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide feedback to staff regarding job performance including timeliness, attendance,</li>\n</ul>\n<p>student engagement, and promotion of prosocial behaviors in students.</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Utilize and enhance intervention protocols to support quality assurance of student</li>\n</ul>\n<p>learning outcomes.</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Model Direct Instruction lessons or utilize class as a model classroom for instructional</li>\n</ul>\n<p>methods</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Meet with teachers and teams weekly to review student progress and performance.</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Document teaching performance evaluations and weekly meetings as they relate to</li>\n</ul>\n<p>teaching performance and student success</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensure quarterly parent meetings with teachers take place to review learner performance</li>\n</ul>\n<p>and progress.</p>\n<p>Student Learning Plan Development, Coordination, and Execution</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Lead and support student transitions from area schools or parent enrolled learners.</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensure that student learning goals and individual plans are developed and staff teams are</li>\n</ul>\n<p>assigned</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Train staff in quality assurance in conducting and coordinating progress meetings with</li>\n</ul>\n<p>parents and schools</p>\n<p>Teaching Caseload</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Maintain a smaller teaching caseload of no more than 10 students in area of specialty-</li>\n</ul>\n<p>certification</p>\n<ul>\n<li>The successful candidate is highly motivated and believes in the power of teaching.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>The ideal candidate is:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Punctual and dependable</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Values parent communication</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Computer savvy - comfortable with google suite, with learning technologies,</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Creative and flexible - open to learning how to teach students with learning differences</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Can develop, instruct , and model instructional best practices within student plans</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Understands the importance of ongoing data collection and analysis</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Collaborative in communication, planning, and writing</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Behavior Expectations Related to the Role</p>\n<p>Aligned to mission. This role is for someone who understands</p>\n<p>that formal communication requires a presence and will present ExcelPrep auditorally, visually,</p>\n<p>and nonverbally professionally well and consistently to parents and stakeholders. Behavior</p>\n<p>expectations for staff at ExcelPrep are integral to expectations, daily execution, and fulfillment.</p>\n<p>This is important in supporting Communication, Participation, Responsiveness, and Decision</p>\n<p>Making needed and cultivated leadership at every level. Within CPR+D, each individual staff</p>\n<p>person is expected to operate within their scope of licensure and practice and continuously foster</p>\n<p>a workplace culture connected to the mission and organization success. Within this role, CPR+D</p>\n<p>is briefly included to emphasize an overarching perspective Leadership at Every Level.</p>\n<p>Formal Education Aligned with this Role</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Master’s degree in education.
