JOB SUMMARY The Occupational Therapist is responsible for ensuring that occupational therapy services are delivered to students with various disabilities in accordance with the student’s Individualized Education Plan (IEP). Duties include: ●      Collaborates with team members for the purpose of providing individual, in-depth assessments of students to determine the nature and extent of motor disabilities. ●      Assess students' motor development and performance in activities related to curriculum and applicable to activities of daily living for the purpose of developing baseline information for placement and program development. ●      Reports assessment results for the purpose of providing feedback to students, parents, and administration regarding students' progress, expectations, goals, etc. ●      Participates in the Individual Education Plan (IEP) meeting for the purpose of developing and updating annual goals and objectives. ●      Develops, coordinates and implements individual occupational therapy intervention plans that support the IEP goals and objectives. ●      Recommends appropriate materials and activities for the purpose of improving students' motor skills. ●      Trains and serves as a consultant to program staff in areas such as sensory motor, sensory stimulation and body awareness, fine motor and gross motor skills and other areas within the therapist's area of expertise. ●      Participates in various meetings (e.g. parent conferences, in-service training, site meetings, etc.).
