This role involves supervising the inventory team, conducting regular cycle counts, addressing discrepancies, and collaborating with various departments to ensure smooth warehouse operations.</p><h3><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></h3><ul><li><strong>Team Supervision</strong>: Lead and manage the inventory control team, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations. Ensure compliance with company policies and operational procedures.</li><li><strong>Inventory Management</strong>: Oversee the maintenance and accuracy of all inventory data. Perform regular cycle counts, full physical inventories, and spot checks to ensure stock accuracy.</li><li><strong>Discrepancy Resolution</strong>: Investigate and resolve any inventory discrepancies, such as overages, shortages, or damage, in a timely manner. Work closely with receiving and shipping teams to identify and rectify issues.</li><li><strong>Warehouse Management System (WMS)</strong>: Ensure accurate and efficient use of the WMS to track inventory movements, adjustments, and updates. Train staff on the effective use of the system.</li><li><strong>Product Handling</strong>: Ensure proper handling, storage, and labeling of products, especially those requiring cold storage, to maintain product integrity and minimize damage or spoilage.</li><li><strong>Collaboration</strong>: Work closely with warehouse, shipping, and receiving departments to maintain accurate stock levels and support the overall efficiency of warehouse operations.</li><li><strong>Process Improvement</strong>: Identify areas for improvement in inventory management processes and implement strategies to enhance accuracy and productivity.</li><li><strong>Reporting</strong>: Generate regular reports on inventory levels, discrepancies, and team performance. Provide insights and data to management to assist in operational planning.</li><li><strong>Safety &amp; Compliance</strong>: Ensure the team adheres to all safety protocols, particularly in handling cold storage products. Promote a safe working environment and enforce the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).</li></ul><h3><strong>Qualifications</strong></h3><ul><li><strong>Education</strong>: High school diploma or equivalent required; a degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is a plus.</li><li><strong>Experience</strong>: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in inventory control or warehouse operations, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory role.
