    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>As an <strong>Associate Test Engineer</strong>, you will work with our growing DevSecOps practice delivering quality assurance services to support application, cloud and data systems development within an AI-enabled software development environment. We are looking for candidates with experience in quality assurance and test automation practices in an Agile/DevSecOps work environment.  </p>\n<h2>Contributions</h2>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities include:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Understand the needs of stakeholders and conveying this to developers</li>\n <li>Meet with product design team to determine testing parameters</li>\n <li>Write test plans, create test cases, test procedures, bug reports, final QA reports for products</li>\n <li>Troubleshoot errors and streamline the test procedures</li>\n <li>Test and examine code written by others and analyze results, including one or more of the following:\n  <ul>\n   <li>Data validation testing</li>\n   <li>Functional testing</li>\n   <li>Performance and load testing</li>\n   <li>Usability testing</li>\n   <li>Accessibility (508) testing</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Work with established automated testing tools and infrastructure for test automation</li>\n <li>Automate and improve development, testing, deployment, and release processes</li>\n <li>Ensure that systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats</li>\n <li>Work with software developers and software engineers to ensure that development follows established processes and works as intended</li>\n <li>Document as-is state of the environment, perform a gap analysis, and produce artifacts that articulate options and recommendations </li>\n <li>Leverage virtualization and containerization to optimize testing software systems</li>\n <li>Work with teams to bring continuous improvement to DevSecOps processes and tools.</li>\n <li>Engineer and implement solutions and provide recommendations for continuous improvement for the services provided</li>\n <li>Present regular status updates and provide cross training to other DevOps team members</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Required:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Ability to obtain a U.S. government Security Clearance</li>\n <li>BS Degree in an IT field OR BS in a non-IT field and 2 years related IT experience</li>\n <li>Experience with Git SCM providers such as GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong> Preferred:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>1 year of QA/Testing Experience with experience in an Agile environment</li>\n <li>Experience with one or more programming or scripting languages</li>\n <li>Experience with one or more testing tools such as Selenium, JMeter</li>\n <li>Experience integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines with tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Pipelines, CircleCI, TravisCI</li>\n <li>Experience implementing automated testing frameworks including Selenium</li>\n <li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills</li>\n <li>Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills </li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>About <strong>steampunk</strong></h2>\n<p>Steampunk relies on several factors to determine salary, including but not limited to geographic location, contractual requirements, education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience. The projected compensation range for this position is $60,000 to $100,000.  The estimate displayed represents a typical annual salary range for this position.
