Energized by outdoor environments, they are physically active, comfortable with heights, and take satisfaction from supervising and helping others face challenges and push their boundaries</span><span>.</span></span><span> </span></p>\n<p><span><br></span><br></p>\n<p><span><span>To excel as a Guide, you need </span><span>to be able to </span><span>think fast on your feet</span><span>,</span><span> </span><span>have an outgoing and confident personality, </span><span>and </span><span>demonstrate</span><span> sound judgement. </span><span>Guides need to be </span><span>good at listening and </span><span>identifying</span><span> the needs of others</span><span>, and </span><span>providing</span><span> sound </span><span>advice based on best practices. When necessary, </span><span>Guides must </span><span>be assertive to ensure guests minimize their risk while </span><span>participating</span><span> in activities. With outstanding communication, </span><span>Guides </span><span>work effectively in an independent manner as well as </span><span>part of a team</span><span>.</span></span><span> </span></p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span><span>Responsibilities and Duties</span></span></span><span> </span></p>\n<p><span><span>The </span><span>Adventure Course </span><span>Guide’s </span><span>responsibilities include, but are not limited to:</span></span><span> </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Ensuring guests enjoy safe, positive, and enriching experiences</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Demonstrating, teaching, and </span><span>assisting</span><span> guests in the use of safety equipment</span><span> and element use</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Ensuring the </span><span>appropriate fit</span><span>, adjustments, and use of equipment before and during activity</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Ensuring guests respect rules without compromise</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Monitoring elements for risk management; assessing and intervening when situations require</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Reporting </span><span>any </span><span>malfunctions</span><span>, inconsistencies</span><span>, </span><span>incidents</span><span> </span><span>or abnormalities</span><span> accordingly</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Maintaining a clean work environment with tasks including – but not limited to – </span><span>cleaning, sweeping, mopping, trash removal, etc. as </span><span>required</span><span> </span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Participating in </span><span>daily </span><span>equipment and element </span><span>i</span><span>nspections and </span><span>d</span><span>aily </span><span>equipment i</span><span>nspections</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Ensuring activity guidelines, policies and procedures are respected</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Providing excellent customer service and guest engagement</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Passing on any positive or negative feedback from guests to the Leadership Team</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Being aware of environmental risks due to weather (heat, snow, ice, rain, wind, lightning, etc.)</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Taking </span><span>appropriate actions</span><span> to manage risks (hydration, element evacuation procedures, signs of frostbite, hypothermia, hyperthermia, heat stroke, etc.)</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Carrying out other work as directed by Team Lead, or </span><span>Leadership Team</span></span><span> </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span>Participating as a positive and proactive member of the WildPlay team</span></span><span> </span></li>\n<li><span><span>Physical demands include continuously holding, </span><span>carrying</span><span> and lifting equipment, frequent walking/ </span><span>standing</span><span>, and frequent bending/twisting/kneeling</span></span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span><br></span><br></p>\n<p><em><span>WildPlay Niagara Falls is committed to fostering an inclusive and equitable workplace.
