TMH is the region's healthcare leader and top provider of advanced care with a 772-bed acute care hospital and the region's only:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Level II Trauma Center </li>\n <li>Primary Stroke Center </li>\n <li>Level III Neonatal Intensive Care </li>\n <li>Pediatric Intensive Care </li>\n <li>The most advanced cancer, heart and vascular, orthopedic & surgery programs in the Panhandle. </li>\n</ul>\n<p>Our system also includes a psychiatric hospital, multiple specialty care centers, six residency programs and more than 50 affiliated physician practices. </p>\n<h2>HOW YOU'LL MAKE AN IMPACT</h2>\n<p><strong>Job Summary:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>In the Emergency Department, under the direction of the physician or midlevel provider, assists with airway management and ventilation; patient assessment, care and treatment; and traumas. </li>\n <li>Triages patients and determines the nature and extent of illness, injury, classifies priorities for most immediate needs for treatment. </li>\n <li>Completes primary survey. </li>\n <li>Administers medications, starts IVs, administers IV solutions, in accordance with established protocols approved by the Medical Director of Emergency Medical Services, Medical Director of Emergency Services, Chief Medical Officer, Chief Clinical and Nursing Officer, and the Medical Executive Committee.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Reports:</strong></p>\n<p>Medical Director of Emergency Medical Services, Medical Director of Emergency Services, Director of Emergency Services</p>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong>Supervises:</strong></p>\n<p>None</p>\n<h2>WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO APPLY</h2>\n<p><strong>Required Education:</strong></p>\n<p>Graduate of an approved Paramedic Program; at least 21 years of age.</p>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong>Required Experience: </strong></p>\n<p>Minimum: One (1) year experience in an emergency department or related experience.</p>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong>Required Certification/License/Registry:</strong></p>\n<p>Minimum: Licensed Florida Paramedic. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification. Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification. Preferred: Pediatric Advanced Life Support certificate (PALS). All Certifications and Licenses are required at the time of hire.
