This role includes preparing and analyzing financial reports, processing transactions, reconciling accounts, filing sales tax, city tax, and property tax returns. The Accountant plays a key role in maintaining the financial health and integrity of the organization.</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:&nbsp;</strong></p><p>Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports</p><ul type=\"disc\"><li data-pasted=\"true\">Ensure accuracy and compliance of financial statements with US GAAP.</li><li>Manage general ledger, perform account reconciliations between multiple systems</li><li>Perform manual reconciliations of multiple bank accounts.</li><li>Prepare and post all required journal entries for month-end and year-end close processes</li><li>Maintain and monitor internal controls to ensure financial integrity</li><li>Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and explanations.</li><li>Provide financial information to external CPAs for State and Federal income tax</li><li>Complete and file the following tax returns: CA Sales and Use tax, Los Angeles City tax, and Business Property Tax (form 571-L)</li><li>Prepare payroll and other financial information for business insurance policy renewals</li><li>Generate financial reports for management decision-making</li><li data-pasted=\"true\">Assist with new ERP implementation once the project is approved</li><li>Perform other related accounting and administrative duties as assigned</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field</li><li data-pasted=\"true\">At least 5 years of proven experience as an accountant or in a similar financial role</li><li>Strong knowledge of US GAAP, accounting regulations, and procedures</li><li>Proficiency in accounting software</li><li>Advanced MS Excel skills (e.g., VLOOKUP, pivot tables)</li><li>Strong attention to detail and accuracy</li><li>Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills</li><li>Be an effective team player, working effectively with employees across functions</li><li>Strong organizational and time-management abilities</li></ul><p><strong>Work Environment:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>On-site, five days a week with standard working hours</li><li>Extra hours may be needed at times during end-of-period reporting or tax season</li></ul><p><strong>Physical Requirements:</strong></p><ul><li>Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer</li><li>Occasional lifting of files or boxes up to 30 lbs.</li></ul></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div>\n",
