Position Description Northern Pines Mental Health Center is proud to offer competitive wages and an exceptional benefits package! W e are seeking a Mental Health Practitioner to join our Children and Families team. This full-time role will primarily operate in a school-based setting, and will also keep a small in-home caseload. The general purpose of this position is to provide mental health services to youth and families referred to Northern Pines Mental Health Center. Essential Functions include: Review and promptly respond to referrals. Clarify frequency and type of services referring worker is requesting Coordinate and conduct intake sessions to include: complete intake paperwork with the family, obtain billing information, authorizations and continued care requests as needed. This will be done in conjunction with the clinical supervisor Complete a treatment plan consistent with the needs identified in the evaluation, by the family and by the referring worker. Ensure the clinical supervisor signs the treatment plan Ensure all documentation is completed as mandated (current diagnostic assessments, ROI’s and renewing ROI’s, treatment plans, functional assessments, progress notes within 24 hours of service delivery) Prepare and provide content to clients in an individual and group setting Facilitate and co-facilitate client groups as agreed upon with the clinical supervisor and colleagues Maintain contact with the referral source as agreed upon Ensure a diagnostic assessment has been completed initially and annually thereafter Conduct transition planning and referrals as needed Participate in Rule 29 and CTSS Supervision and Consultation at which time progress notes are submitted to the supervisor Qualifications include: Must qualify as a mental health practitioner as defined by the Minnesota Department of Human Services in one of the following ways: Has at least 2,000 hours (approximately two years working full-time) of supervised work experience in the delivery of mental health services. OR Holds a master's or other graduate degree in behavioral sciences or related fields. OR Has completed at least 30 semester hours or 45 quarter hours of coursework in Behavioral Sciences or related fields AND has completed a practicum or internship that required direct interaction with adults or children served, and was focused on behavioral sciences or related fields. Experience and training working with children. A valid driver’s license Compensation & Benefits include: A starting wage of $24.50/ hour Health, Dental, Disability and Life insurance with other additional voluntary options for spousal life, short term disability, accident, hospital indemnity and critical illness plans Health Savings account with employer contribution 401K with employer match Generous paid time off (1st-3rd year 19 days/152 hours for full time then increases with longevity) Nine holidays observed per year as follows: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, the day after Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve Day, Christmas Day and a Weather Float Day. Clarify frequency and type of services referring worker is requesting\\n\\tCoordinate and conduct intake sessions to include: complete intake paperwork with the family, obtain billing information, authorizations and continued care requests as needed.&nbsp; This will be done in conjunction with the clinical supervisor\\n\\tComplete a treatment plan consistent with the needs identified in the evaluation, by the family and by the referring worker.&nbsp; Ensure the clinical supervisor signs the treatment plan\\n\\tEnsure all documentation is completed as mandated (current diagnostic assessments, ROI&rsquo;s and renewing ROI&rsquo;s, treatment plans, functional assessments, progress notes within 24 hours of service delivery)\\n\\tPrepare and provide content to clients in an individual and group setting\\n\\tFacilitate and co-facilitate client groups as agreed upon with the clinical supervisor and colleagues\\n\\tMaintain contact with the referral source as agreed upon&nbsp;&nbsp; \\n\\tEnsure a diagnostic assessment has been completed initially and annually thereafter\\n\\tConduct transition planning and referrals as needed\\n\\tParticipate in Rule 29 and CTSS Supervision and Consultation at which time progress notes are submitted to the supervisor\\n\\n\\n&nbsp;\\n\\nQualifications include:\\n\\n\\n\\tMust qualify as&nbsp;a mental health practitioner as defined by the Minnesota Department of Human Services in one of the following ways: \\n\\n\\t\\n\\t\\tHas at least 2,000 hours (approximately two years working full-time) of supervised work experience in the delivery of mental health services.&nbsp;OR\\n\\t\\tHolds a master&#39;s or other graduate degree in behavioral sciences or related fields.&nbsp;OR\\n\\t\\tHas completed at least 30 semester hours or 45 quarter hours of coursework in Behavioral Sciences or related fields AND has completed a practicum or internship that required direct interaction with adults or children served, and was focused on behavioral sciences or related fields.\\n\\t\\n\\t\\n\\tExperience and training working with children.\\n\\tA valid driver&rsquo;s license\\n\\n\\n&nbsp;\\n\\nCompensation &amp; Benefits include:\\n\\n\\n\\tA starting wage of $24.50/ hour\\n\\tHealth, Dental, Disability and Life insurance with other additional voluntary options for spousal life,&nbsp;short term disability, accident, hospital indemnity and critical illness plans\\n\\tHealth Savings account with employer contribution\\n\\t401K with employer match\\n\\tGenerous paid time off (1st-3rd year 19 days/152 hours for full time then increases with longevity)&nbsp;\\n\\t&nbsp;Nine holidays observed per year as follows: New Year&rsquo;s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, the day after Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve Day, Christmas Day and a Weather Float Day.\\n\\tSupportive of time off for a healthy work/life balance&nbsp;\\n\\tBereavement Pay\\n\\tTravel reimbursement\\n\\tPaid Supervision if working toward independent licensure\\n\\n\\n&nbsp;\\n\\nNorthern Pines Mental Health Center is an Affirmative Action/ Equal Opportunity Employer.
