The estimated hourly base pay rate for this position is <strong>$20.25</strong>. This role is also eligible for S&amp;C’s annual short-term incentive bonus, subject to eligibility criteria.</p><p><strong>Join Our Team as an Assembler!</strong></p><p>As a Pad-Mount Gear Assembler, you’ll play a key role in building high-quality electrical enclosures that support the reliability of the power grid.&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Assemble pad-mount gear enclosures ranging in size from 42” x 37” x 70” to 86” x 94” x 76”.</li><li>Identify, transport, install, mount, and bolt all types of components (ranging from 5 lbs. to 100 lbs., with assistance), including bus assemblies, high-voltage switches, mounting and support plates, lock assemblies, doors, and roofs.</li><li>Perform mechanical inspections using torque wrenches, screwdrivers, and tape measures.</li><li>Use material handling equipment, hand tools, power tools, air-impact tools, gauges, and overhead cranes.</li><li>Work in a fast-paced assembly environment following standardized work instructions and meeting specified Takt Time requirements.</li></ul><p><strong>Education:</strong></p><ul><li>High School Diploma or GED required&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>What You’ll Need to Succeed:</strong></p><ul><li>Ability to follow standard work, including specific written instructions and procedures.</li><li>Ability to perform basic subassemblies.</li><li>Proficiency with air-impact tools and other hand-held tools.</li><li>Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn assembly processes.</li><li>Preferred: Previous experience in assembly or manufacturing.</li></ul><p><strong>Preferred:</strong></p><ul><li>Previous experience in an assembly or manufacturing environment a plus.</li></ul><p><strong>Physical Demands:</strong></p><ul><li>Standing: Most tasks performed in a standing position with intermittent walking.</li><li>Lifting: Frequent lifting of items ranging from 5 lbs. to 50 lbs.</li><li>Walking: Occasional walking moderate distances (less than 1/8 mile).</li><li>Carrying: Frequent carrying of items ranging from 5 lbs. to 25 lbs.</li><li>Pushing/Pulling: Occasional use of powered hand trucks to move parts moderate distances.</li><li>Bending: Frequent bending and crouching required to complete assembly tasks.</li><li>Reaching: Continuous full range of motion from above shoulders to below knees.</li><li>Handling: Continuous handling of parts ranging from 5 lbs. to 25 lbs.</li></ul><p>S&amp;C Electric is committed to equal-opportunity employment.
