Join us and be part of meaningful work that impacts lives every day!</p><p>Join our team Organ Recovery Team as a <strong><em>Clinical Recovery Coordinator 1</em></strong>. As a Clinical Recovery Coordinator I, you&rsquo;ll be hands-on in the organ, eye, and tissue recovery process, ensuring every donation is carried out with skill, respect, and precision. This role is critical to turning the gift of donation into renewed lives for transplant recipients, directly supporting Infinite Legacy&rsquo;s mission to save and enhance lives while honoring donors and their families.</p><p><strong>Accountabilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Maintains a work schedule of 36-48 hours per week. <strong>Additional shifts can be picked up during times of high activity or based on departmental needs</strong>.</li><li>Working 12 hours day or night shift, with potential for a prolonged timeframe due to travel or at employees&#39; discretion.</li><li>Evaluates medical suitability of potential organ and/or tissue donors, utilizing information from medical records, history and physical examination, and current health status.</li><li>Collaborates with the host hospital&rsquo;s medical staff and medical director to <strong>direct the clinical management of potential organ and/or tissue donors.</strong></li><li>Requests and interprets laboratory and diagnostic tests <strong>needed for evaluation of suitability and clinical management of potential organ and/or tissue donors.</strong></li><li>Works closely with the Family Services Coordinators in offering potential donor families the option of donation in an appropriate and sensitive manner. May obtain informed consent in accordance with State and local Law and established organizational policies. Be proficient at presenting the opportunity of donation to the legal next-of-kin. Act as professional resource to the family regarding the opportunity of organ and tissue donation.</li><li>Collaborates with the Donor Services Center staff to facilitate <strong>all aspects of the organ/tissue donation process, to include&nbsp;</strong>communications regarding organ/tissue suitability, coordination of transportation and other logistics for local and outside recovery programs and planning for operative phase of recovery<u>.</u></li><li>Coordinates with Tissue Recovery team to facilitate <strong>all aspects of the organ/tissue recovery process, including</strong> all documentation requirements, Medical Examiner clearance, and coordination of the recovery site.</li><li><strong>In conjunction</strong> with the Donor Services Center staff, coordinates and participates in all aspects of long-distance organ donor recoveries.</li><li>Assists the Hospital Services and Family Services departments with donor follow-up activities as needed.</li><li>Other duties as assigned.</li></ul><p><strong>Required Experience:</strong></p><ul><li>RN certification or college degree in health care related field preferred. Associate&rsquo;s degree in respiratory sciences or Paramedic Certification may be considered in lieu of RN certification.</li><li>At least 2 years of emergency or critical care experience or clinically equivalent experience.</li><li>Valid driver&rsquo;s license, reliable automobile for transportation, and proof of insurance insurable under The Infinite Legacy&rsquo;s master policy.</li><li>Ability to interact, separately or in collaboration with the Family Services Coordinator, with families in crisis in a supportive, empathetic manner taking into consideration actual or potential cultural differences.</li></ul><p><strong>Skills:</strong></p><ul><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills <strong>to provide information to healthcare personnel, donor families, recipients, and the general public.</strong></li><li>Ability to use a personal computer for data entry and retrieval of information.</li><li>Excellent organization and time management skills</li><li>Ability to function independently and collaboratively</li><li><strong>&nbsp;</strong>Good problem-solving and creative thinking skills <strong>and well-developed personal stress management skills.</strong></li><li>Ability to utilize proper body mechanics to independently lift heavy objects (i.e., ice chests weighing in excess of 40 pounds or manually moving bodies to and from OR tables).</li><li>Ability to work and/or take call on any day of the week for either day shift or night shift, including holidays and weekends.</li><li>After two years as an CRC I, the Certified Procurement Transplant Coordinator (CPTC) certification is preferred.</li><li>Ability to travel throughout Infinite Legacy&rsquo;s Donor Services Area.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p>At Infinite Legacy, we care about our employees&#39; well-being, both at work and in life.
