In this role, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating intricate and strategic programs that are imperative to Workday's success. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful delivery of projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.<p style=\"text-align:inherit\"></p><p style=\"text-align:left\"><b>About the Role</b></p><p style=\"text-align:inherit\"></p><p><span>We are looking for a Principal Program Manager who is experience at driving value of program structure while balancing the need for agility and innovation within that framework. Using program management methodologies, this role will drive sophisticated projects end-to-end by identifying and leading scope, dependencies, and risks, driving timeline alignment, and reporting on the health and status of the program – all concluding with timely delivery of outcomes and results.</span></p><p></p><p><span>To be successful, you should love leading projects and solving complex business problems. You should be curious about artfully balancing structure and drive with flexibility and agility. And you would be the person at the table who skillfully captures multiple perspectives, synthesizes the input, and influences the group to align on next steps and decisions. Your work style should align with Workday core values supplying a positive supply work environment.</span></p><p></p><p><b>Responsibilities include but are not limited to:</b></p><ul><li><p><span>Plan, organize, and be responsible for the projects from initiation through execution while identifying risks and issues, facilitate mitigation plans, handle budget, and successfully schedule timeline to implement quickly.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Proactively build strong, trusted working relationships with Finance functional leaders and Business Technology partners to drive alignment and optimize project operations.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Provide structure and guidance to lead, motivate, and hold accountable project team members and deliver on priorities.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Drive and report progress against program objectives and goals.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Communicate efficiently, timely, and with a level of detail and format appropriate to the audience. Outstanding oral and written communication skills are a must.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Gain a deep understanding of the business challenges and overall goals to enable you to steer working teams through issues.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Possess strong written and verbal presentation skills and be adept at influencing and gaining consensus. </span></p></li></ul><p style=\"text-align:inherit\"></p><p style=\"text-align:left\"><b>About You</b></p><p style=\"text-align:inherit\"></p><p><b><b>Basic Qualifications:</b></b></p><ul><li><p>8&#43; years&#39; experience in project or program management, defining, launching, and iterating on impactful projects or programs.</p></li><li><p>Strong experience in project management methodologies and templates.</p></li><li><p>Proficiency in program tools (e.g., Jira, Asana, Microsoft Suite, Google Suite, and Smartsheets).</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b><b>Other Qualifications:</b></b></p><ul><li><p><span>You know (and love) Workday Finance and related applications.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Experience collaborating with multiple layers of the organization with shown success initiating change and influencing at all levels.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Demonstrated ability to lead Cross-Functional Alignment across multiple departments and teams, ensuring [insert specific outcomes like seamless collaboration or shared understanding] on program objectives.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Strong Decision Making skills in complex program and project-related matters with proven ability to evaluate strategic options, assess risks, and drive effective solutions.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Deep understanding of Governance Management principles</span></p></li><li><p><span>Exceptional Proactive Thinking skills by anticipating strategic challenges and developing contingency plans for programs.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Proven Schedule Development skills by creating integrated master schedules and managing critical paths for complex programs.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Proven ability to lead Stakeholder Engagement by building strong relationships, influencing key stakeholders, and managing expectations at various levels.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Expert understanding of Strategic Alignment and the ability to ensure programs directly contribute to and support organizational goals and strategic objectives.</span></p></li></ul><p style=\"text-align:left\"><br /><br /><b>Our Approach to Flexible Work</b><br /> </p><p style=\"text-align:left\"><span>With Flex Work, we’re combining the best of both worlds: in-person time and remote.
