In this role, you will be responsible for providing phlebotomy services to residents of nursing homes within our hospital's outreach program. Your primary goal will be to ensure accurate and efficient blood specimen collection while delivering exceptional patient care.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities</strong>:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Monday to Friday, alternating holidays, flexibility to work evenings or weekends of stat services call as required.</li>\n <li>Travel to assigned nursing homes within the hospital's outreach program and perform blood specimen collection procedures.</li>\n <li>Adhere to established phlebotomy protocols and safety standards to ensure accurate and reliable results.</li>\n <li>Interact professionally and compassionately with nursing home residents, making them feel comfortable and at ease during the phlebotomy procedure.</li>\n <li>Maintain accurate records of patient information, specimen labeling, and transportation to the laboratory for testing.</li>\n <li>Ensure timely and efficient sample collection, minimizing waiting times for residents.</li>\n <li>Independently troubleshoot any issues that may arise during the phlebotomy process, such as difficult venipunctures or equipment malfunctions.</li>\n <li>Collaborate with nursing home staff and healthcare professionals to coordinate scheduling and ensure smooth operations.</li>\n <li>Follow HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of patient information.</li>\n <li>Participate in continuing education and training programs to stay updated on the latest phlebotomy techniques and best practices.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Experience Required</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Minimum of 2 years of experience as a phlebotomist, preferably in a mobile or outreach setting.</li>\n <li>Passion for providing high-quality patient care and a strong desire to make a positive impact on nursing home residents.</li>\n <li>Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.</li>\n <li>Demonstrated reliability and punctuality with a proven track record of being on time.</li>\n <li>Ability to work independently, handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and prioritize workload effectively.</li>\n <li>Proficiency in troubleshooting common phlebotomy challenges, such as difficult venipunctures and equipment issues.</li>\n <li>Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and adherence to patient privacy and confidentiality.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Education Requirements</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>High school diploma or equivalent.</li>\n <li>Completion of a certified phlebotomy training program.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>License/Certification Requirements</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Valid national phlebotomy certification or equivalent is preferred.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Special Requirements</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Valid driver's license and clean driving record for the past 3 years.</li>\n <li>Travel to Ocean County, Monmouth County, and Mercer County is required</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Salary Min ($)</h2>USD $18.16\n<h2>Salary Max ($)</h2>USD $26.38",
