    "description": "<h2>Position Summary</h2>\n<p>At Baptist Health, our mission is to improve the health and quality of life for the individuals and communities we serve.</p>\n<p>Baptist Health Princeton Hospital offers great NEW competitive pay and benefits!</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Medical, Dental, Vision</li>\n <li>403(b) Retirement Savings Plan w/matching</li>\n <li>Health Savings Account (HSA)</li>\n <li>Flexible Spending Account (FSA)</li>\n <li>Paid Time Off (up to 5 weeks to start)</li>\n <li>Life Insurance</li>\n <li>Extended Leave Plan (ELP)</li>\n <li>Family Care (childcare, elder care, pet care)</li>\n <li>Educational Benefits including tuition reimbursement & monthly payments to help pay down any graduated school debt</li>\n</ul>\n<p>ALL benefits start on day one!</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Position Summary</p>\n<p>Performs moderately complex general laboratory testing in the area(s) of licensure under the direction of a Medical Technologist.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>Essential Functions</p>\n<p>• Performs and reports routine laboratory testing following established policies and procedures to ensure the highest quality of</p>\n<p>laboratory results within established timeframes.</p>\n<p>• Verifies results and quality control data for accuracy and reliability.</p>\n<p>• Performs, evaluates, and documents all quality control, preventive maintenance and troubleshooting procedures.</p>\n<p>• Demonstrates computer system proficiency including ordering, resulting, and inquiry functions.</p>\n<p>• Ensures proper utilization and preparation of reagents and supplies.</p>\n<p>• Communicates critical results to the patient caregiver.</p>\n<p>• Regularly reports all unusual findings to the immediate supervisor.</p>\n<p>• Regularly reports work activities and pending work to the oncoming technologist.</p>\n<p>• Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state</p>\n<p>and local standards.</p>\n<p>• Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures.</p>\n<p>Other Related Functions</p>\n<p>• Assumes one or more of the following responsibilities under the supervision of the Medical Technologist or Team Leader:</p>\n<p>supply/reagent ordering or preparation, primary operator of minor instrumentation, projects, or teaching/training.</p>\n<p>• Performs specimen collection procedures, specimen receiving and processing as required.</p>\n<p>• Answers the telephone and greets guests to the department.</p>\n<p>• Maintains current job knowledge in order to effectively instruct students or other personnel.</p>\n<p>• Responsible for an active role in the laboratory quality improvement program including performance and evaluation of key</p>\n<p>quality indicators.</p>\n<p>• Follows the established policies and procedures to meet regulatory and accrediting agency requirements.</p>\n<p>• Practices infection control and safety practices and keeps a clean and organized work area.</p>\n<p>• Maintains confidentiality of patient record, hospital and departmental matters at all times.</p>\n<p>• Perform other duties as directed under supervision of Medical Technologist or Team Leader</p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p>Education/Training</p>\n<p>Graduate from an approved school of medical laboratory technician. Associate degree in related field.</p>\n<p>Licensure/Certification</p>\n<p>Current Alabama license as a Clinical Laboratory Technician by Alabama Department of Health. Certified in area(s) of laboratory where assigned.</p>\n<p>Experience</p>\n<p>None</p>",
