Youth Sports Instructors will conductsafe, fun, and effective youth sports programs, based on the YMCA of Superior California Healthy Lifestyles Standards and Guidelines.</p>\n<p> </p>Work Schedule: This position is scheduled to work Tuesday through Sunday, with hours as follows:\n<ul>\n <li>Tuesday through Friday: 4:15 p.m. to 8:15 p.m.</li>\n <li>Saturdays: Typically 8-hour shifts</li>\n <li>Sundays: Hours as needed based on operational requirements</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Ensure the health, safety and well-being of children in a sports program by providingclose supervision of all activities.</li>\n <li>Introduce children to the basic fundamental concepts of different games - basketball,soccer, tennis, gymnastics and karate.</li>\n <li>Assist the Lead Instructor with youth sport activities.</li>\n <li>Prepare the class format for each youth sports session.</li>\n <li>Provide sports instruction, i.e., perform drills and demos pertaining to different sports.</li>\n <li>Evaluate equipment and ensure safety of participants.</li>\n <li>Set-up and break down of equipment.</li>\n <li>Evaluate program and implement new opportunities.</li>\n <li>Track participant attendance.</li>\n <li>Provide guidance to youth.</li>\n <li>Actively participate in all training sessions and designated meetings. </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>High school diploma required.</li>\n <li>At least 18 years of age.</li>\n <li>2 Years working with Youth in sports</li>\n <li>Coaching experience in basketball, Soccer, flag football.</li>\n <li>CPR, First Aid, AED certifications and Child Abuse prevention training within 30 days ofhire date</li>\n <li>Previous experience working with children in a developmental setting preferred.</li>\n <li>Ability to plan, organize and implement age-appropriate/developmentally appropriateprogram activities.</li>\n <li>Previous experience with diverse populations.
