Candidates without an active PLS license will not be considered.</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18pt\">About the Role</span></p>\n<p>FEI is seeking a <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Senior Professional Land Surveyor (PLS)</span> to serve in a leadership-level <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Senior Survey Project Manager</span> role within our land development surveying practice. This position combines technical oversight, people leadership, financial accountability, and business development support.</p>\n<p>This is a <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">senior, licensed position</span> responsible not only for project delivery, but also for mentoring staff, managing multiple crews, and helping guide the growth and direction of the surveying department.</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18pt\">Key Responsibilities</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Leadership &amp; Department Support</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Support the Survey Director in executing departmental goals, strategies, and business plans</li>\n<li>Assist with business development, marketing efforts, and client relationship building (including occasional after-hours events)</li>\n<li>Participate in hiring, performance evaluations, employee development, and issue resolution</li>\n<li>Promote ethics, teamwork, safety, and FEI core values</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Project &amp; Technical Oversight</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Oversee multiple land development surveying projects simultaneously</li>\n<li>Analyze field data and research to prepare and review:\n<ul>\n<li>Boundary surveys</li>\n<li>ALTA/NSPS and loan surveys</li>\n<li>Construction layout</li>\n<li>Topographic surveys</li>\n<li>As-built surveys and final plats</li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n<li>Interpret engineering drawings and coordinate horizontal and vertical survey control</li>\n<li>Ensure technical accuracy, quality control, and compliance with standards of practice</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt\">Operations &amp; Financial Management</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Schedule and manage multiple survey crews to maximize utilization and efficiency</li>\n<li>Supervise survey office staff supporting project delivery</li>\n<li>Assist with project scoping, budgets, and schedules</li>\n<li>Monitor financial performance, billing accuracy, and timesheets across projects</li>\n<li>Coordinate equipment, vehicles, and operational needs as required</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18pt\">Required Qualifications</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Active North Carolina Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license</span></li>\n<li>Minimum of <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">4 years of progressively responsible land surveying experience</span>, including:\n<ul>\n<li>Boundary</li>\n<li>ALTA/NSPS</li>\n<li>Construction layout</li>\n<li>Topographic surveying</li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n<li>Proficiency with AutoCAD and Carlson in a surveying environment</li>\n<li>Experience with Topcon and/or Leica survey equipment and data collectors</li>\n<li>Proven leadership, communication, and organizational skills</li>\n<li>Valid North Carolina Driver’s License</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18pt\">Preferred Qualifications</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Surveying, Geomatics, or related field</li>\n<li>Experience managing multiple crews and mentoring staff</li>\n<li>Familiarity with Ajera or similar project/financial management systems</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18pt\">Work Environment &amp; Schedule</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Office-based position</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Mon–Thu: 7:30am–5:30pm | Fri: 7:30am–11:30am</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18pt\">Why FEI</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Senior leadership role with real influence on department direction</li>\n<li>Stable, established land development client base</li>\n<li>Relationship-driven culture built on accountability and integrity</li>\n<li>Predictable schedule and long-term career opportunity</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18pt\">Pre-Employment Requirement</span></p>\n<p>All candidates receiving an offer must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening per FEI Health and Safety requirements.</p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 18pt\">🚫 Recruiter Notice</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Direct applicants only.
