    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p><strong>Emory Healthcare is where belonging meets purpose.</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Emory Healthcare is looking for an experienced Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our Pulmonology group in our EUHM/EUHM WEM facilities.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>This will be an inpatient and outpatient role, so an ACNP or PA is required. </strong></p>\n<p><strong>This role is M-F,  no weekends, call, holidays. Candidate should have a focus on providing quality patient care and answering messages from the patient and clinical team regarding patient care in a timely manner.</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>This role will be working with specialized diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures including thoracentesis, chest tubes, and bronchoscopes.</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Our Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners are an integral part of the Emory Healthcare integrated academic health care system.  Some highlights of joining the Emory Healthcare team:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Highly competitive compensation package. </li>\n <li>Student Loan Repayment Assistance & Reimbursement Programs. </li>\n <li>Paid Parental Leave benefit available to all qualified employees.</li>\n <li>Wellness incentives.</li>\n <li>Comprehensive health benefits that start Day 1.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Description</h2>\n<p><strong>Job Description:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Assists in the evaluation and treatment of patients. </li>\n <li>Documents the delivery of care in the individual's medical records </li>\n <li>Conducts patient interviews and documents patient histories, psychosocial histories, health status and medical problems or potential problems </li>\n <li>Assists physician in diagnosing medical problems, developing care plans, and prescribing treatment </li>\n <li>Orders, schedules and/or performs laboratory tests and diagnostic procedures such as urinalyses, pregnancy and blood tests, and x-rays </li>\n <li>Communicates necessity, preparation, nature and anticipated effects of scheduled procedures to patient </li>\n <li>In collaboration with physician, arranges for consultations with or referrals to other medical professional or community services</li>\n <li> Educates patient on health habits, self-examinations, behavior management, need for follow-up assessments/treatments, at home medical care, medication and other issues related to medical or health problems</li>\n <li>Works with manager to formulate plan for professional development</li>\n <li>Attends educational in-services as appropriate</li>\n <li>Participates in professional activities and organizations to maintain knowledge of current trends, practices, and developments</li>\n <li> Maintains and updates current, accurate patient records including medical assessment, interventions, and evaluations </li>\n <li>Collects and interprets diagnostic data to implement appropriate care patient care plans </li>\n <li>Prepares statistical reports and analyses of research projects and investigational protocols; reports on progress, adverse trends and appropriate conclusions and recommendations </li>\n <li>Trains and teaches other health care professionals including students and residents in techniques and procedures unique to specific setting</li>\n <li> Actively participates on organizational health services committees</li>\n <li> Performs related responsibilities as required</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Minimum Qualifications</strong>:</p>\n<ul>\n <li> Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program or Physician Assistant program </li>\n <li>Currently licensed as an advanced practice nurse in the state of Georgia by the Georgia Board of Nursing and certified as a Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or equivalent body, or Certified as a Physician's Assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)</li>\n <li>Licensed as appropriate in the state of Georgia </li>\n <li>May require at least one year of direct experience in one or more high acuity clinical specialties</li>\n <li>PALS, BLS, or ACLS may be required in some areas. </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>JOIN OUR PRIMARY CARE TEAM TODAY!</strong> Emory Healthcare (EHC), part of Emory University (EUV), is the most comprehensive academic health system in Georgia and the first and only in Georgia with a Magnet® designated ambulatory practice.
