Here, you will make an impact by:</p><ul><li><i><span>Planning production schedules for assigned work centers and associated Subcon Locations to meet customer requirements while maximizing work center operational efficiency</span></i></li><li><i><span>Utilizing SAP (MRP) to make data driven production scheduling, capacity management, and procurement decisions</span></i></li><li><i><span>Procuring materials and communicating with suppliers on future requirements to ensure the production plan is met</span></i></li><li><i><span>Exhibiting strong written and verbal communication skills to collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Business Supply Chain, Quality, Supply Planning, and Demand Planning teams, as well as active participation in the Tier process</span></i></li><li><i><span>Partnering with business teams to understand customer requirements and forecasts. Working closely with the manufacturing team, value stream leadership, and Supply Planners to prioritize and resolve supply constraints to balance service, inventory, and cost to meet business targets</span></i></li><li><i><span>Owning planning-related performance metrics including On-Time, In-Full shipments (OTIF), backlog, and production plan attainment for assigned work centers and managing to meet targets</span></i></li><li><i><span>Managing assigned working and non-working inventories to maintain compliance and achieve inventory investment targets</span></i></li><li><i><span>Executing production planning standard work with supply chain tools, IT systems, and processes</span></i></li><li><i><span>Actively managing parameters including optimizing and maintaining production lot sizes, production cycles, and safety stocks to deliver the desired balance between service and inventory</span></i></li><li><i><span>Identifying, leading, and participating in Continuous Improvement projects that increase customer service, inventory investment, product flow, and supply chain efficiency</span></i></li></ul><p></p><p><b><span>Your Skills and Expertise  </span></b></p><p>To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:</p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution</li><li>Two (2) years of combined experience in production planning, supply chain, logistics and/or manufacturing in a private, public, government or military environment</li></ul><p></p><p>Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:</p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Operations Management, or Industrial Engineering from an accredited institution</li><li>Five (5) years of combined experience in production planning, supply chain, logistics and/or manufacturing in a private, public, government or military environment</li><li>Experience in Production Planning</li><li>Professional certifications including ASCM (APICS) CPIM or CSCP</li><li>Knowledge of Supply Planning (SP), Demand Planning (DP), and Integrated Business Planning (IBP) processes</li><li>3M systems experience (COMS, Fiori, Peoplesoft, SAP)</li><li>Advanced Microsoft Office suite skills</li><li>Strong data mining, data analysis, problem-solving, and decision-making skills</li><li>Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal, and self-motivation skills</li><li>Experience working on cross-functional teams</li><li>Experience utilizing Lean, Six Sigma, and/or Continuous Improvement methodologies</li></ul><p></p><p><b><span>Work location: </span></b><b>This role follows an on-site working model, requiring the employee to work at least four days a week at the 3M</b> <b><span>Rockland, MA</span></b></p><p><b><span>Travel: May include up to 5% domestic/international</span></b></p><p><b><span>Relocation Assistance: Not authorized</span></b></p><p></p><p><b><span>Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).</span></b></p><p></p><p><b><span>Supporting Your Well-being</span></b> </p><p>3M offers many programs to help you live your best life – both physically and financially.
