Paid time off is earned according to the local policy and increases with the length of employment.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Click HERE to discover how we empower team members to grow, thrive, and advance in their careers.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>WE LOVE OUR WORK.</h2>\n<p>- Adheres to all departmental and property policies and procedures regarding guest service standards. - Performs a variety of assigned staff duties related to the handling, guiding, and loading of horses into the starting gate; supports the Starter in setting timely race starts and conducts and/or participates in schooling horses. - instructs and familiarizes young horses with the gate to break in and school horses on the starters list; assists Starter and Trainers with schooling of horses during morning training. - Numbers gate and makes equipment changes on the horse; handles horses for each race and assists in loading horses that pull up during and after the race. - Performs preventative maintenance and/or repair the starting gate as directed; assists in aligning horses before gate open. - Attends and participates in professional group meetings; maintains awareness of new trends and innovations in the field of racing. - Performs all other related and compatible duties as assigned. - Maintains strict confidentiality in all company matters.</p>\n<h2>BRING US YOUR BEST.</h2>\n<p>- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required. - Experience saddling and handling horses required; racing experience preferred. - Must have effective written and verbal communication skills; must be able to speak and understand English. - Knowledge of operations, services, and activities of a starting race and schooling horses preferred. - Must be available to work a flexible schedule.</p>\n<h2>STAY IN THE GAME.
