    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><p id=\"isPasted\">Production Control Group Lead</p><p><br><strong><u>Summary:&nbsp;</u></strong></p><p><em>Supervise all activities within the facility with direction from Production Control Manager. Establishes standards of performance, measures progress, establishes and manages workflow, and determine personnel needs based on production schedules with the assistance of the Production Control Manager and Human Resources</em>.</p><p><strong><u>&nbsp;</u></strong></p><p><strong><u>Job Duties &amp; Tasks:</u></strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Direct and coordinate production, processes, and distribution.</li><li>Coordinates production control activities within the facility to ensure manufacturing objectives are accomplished.</li><li>Review production schedules and orders to make decisions regarding inventory and staffing requirements, work procedures, and duty assignments.</li><li>Review production or process issues with the Production Control Manager,</li><li>Work with Human Resources to hire, train, evaluate, and resolve employee concerns and/or grievances, and ethically process terminations.</li><li>Manage and maintain labor overtime costs within production department,</li><li>Prepare and maintain production control reports.</li><li>Work with Production Control Manager to establish and manage standards to improve material flow and layout for development events and new vehicle projects.</li><li>Collaborate with team leads on department activities and employee engagement</li><li>Plan and establish work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet production goals.</li><li>Assist in developing and implementing production tracking to detect production problems.</li><li>Work with Production Control Manager to implement and maintain various programs such as preventative maintenance; environmental, health and safety; training; and continuous improvement.&nbsp;</li><li>Demonstrate equipment operations and safety procedures to new employees and/or assign employees for training.</li><li>Observe workflow and processes, and other indicators to ensure operators conform to production, processing, and/or quality standards.</li><li>Provides direction, development, and leadership to floor associates.</li><li>Other duties as assigned.</li></ul><p><strong><u>&nbsp;</u></strong></p><p><strong><u>Authorization Level:</u></strong></p><ul><li>Able to start/stop production of Hyundai Transys GA Seating System Savannah facility,</li><li>Able to discipline employees, hire &amp; terminate employees with HR approval,&nbsp;</li><li>Able to schedule necessary changes with production, logistics, materials/supplies, etc.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong><u>Technical Skills Required:</u></strong></p><ul><li>Knowledge of the Automotive Manufacturing Industry (Desired)</li><li>Knowledge of seating system / assembly (Desired)</li><li>Leadership skill and the ability to motivate employees,</li><li>Basic knowledge of business economics,&nbsp;</li><li>Broad knowledge of OSHA and workplace health &amp; safety,&nbsp;</li><li>Broad knowledge &amp; understanding of quality systems,&nbsp;</li><li>Understanding of ASN, EDI, Material handling, inventory control, and logistics,</li><li>Broad knowledge of Microsoft Office applications,</li><li>Three (3) years proven work experience in automotive, manufacturing, or logistics environment as a production supervisor or team lead.</li></ul><p><strong><u>&nbsp;</u></strong></p><p><strong><u>Education Requirements:</u></strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree or equivalent experience in Logistics, Business Administration or Manufacturing.</li></ul><p><strong><u>&nbsp;</u></strong></p><p><strong><u>Physical Demands:</u></strong></p><p>The physical demands described below are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
