    "description": "<h2></h2>\n<p><strong>GFT</strong> is looking for a resourceful and engaged <strong>Senior Pr</strong><strong>oject Engineer,</strong><strong> Wastewater - Water to join our National Water Team. </strong>This is primarily a remote opportunity with visits to a local office required as needed.</p>\n<p>Joining the water resources team at GFT means contributing to innovative solutions for sustainable water management and infrastructure. Our team excels in dams and levees, advanced water and wastewater treatment, stormwater management, and conveyance, collection, and transmission. Explore some of our signature water resources and environmental projects here.</p>\n<p>As a <strong>Senior Project Engineer</strong> you will leverage your technical and management expertise to plan, design, and construct water/wastewater infrastructure within a dynamic team environment, while also mentoring junior staff, both in office and remotely. You will provide business development and project management leadership, guiding integrated teams to meet client requirements related to scope, schedule, budget, and quality. Additionally, candidates will focus on increasing backlog, project revenue, and profitability with both current and new clients.  </p>\n<p> This represents an excellent career opportunity for a proven self-starter capable of leading medium to large scale projects with a customer-centric mentality with an emphasis on delivery quality at the highest level. </p>\n<p><strong>In this capacity, you will be responsible for the following:</strong>  </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Participating in and leading project teams in the planning, design, and construction administration of municipal and industrial water and wastewater infrastructure facilities. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Engaging in client interactions, delivering presentations, and coordinating project activities. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Coordinating work activities of technical staff and consultants, including developing and implementing study and design standards, leading progress meetings, preparing meeting agendas and minutes, and tracking project schedules and budgets. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Collaborating with and communicating effectively with various municipalities and governmental regulatory agencies. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Overseeing construction contract management and observation services. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Preparing technical reports and permit applications. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Supervising and mentoring junior-level engineers to support their professional growth. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Demonstrating professional technical writing and verbal communication skills. </li>\n</ul>\n<h2></h2>\n<p><strong>What you will bring to our firm: </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering. Master’s Degree is preferred. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>10+ years of experience in the water/wastewater discipline, particularly as a water/wastewater engineer designing studies, plans, and specifications for water and/or wastewater infrastructure (e.g., treatment and collection/distribution projects). </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Professional Engineer (PE) license required. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Progressive experience in the evaluation, design, permitting, and construction administration of water and wastewater treatment facilities, pumping stations, water storage and distribution facilities, and wastewater collection systems. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Proven project management experience, including responsibilities for budget and schedule monitoring and control. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Experienced in client relations and business development. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>A strong leader and team player with excellent planning and organizational skills. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to deliver effective client presentations and prepare detailed written reports. </li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Compensation:</strong></p>\n<p>The salary range for this position is $135,000 - $160,000.
