This position is part of the Public Employees Union (PEU) collective bargaining agreement and the individual in this position will work out of the Public Services Building located at 1749 3<sup>rd</sup> Avenue South, Lake Worth Beach, FL 33460.</strong></p><p><strong>Pay Rate: $18.41-$23.39</strong></p><p><br></p><p><strong>In addition, this position offers:</strong></p><ul><li><strong>Vacation and Sick Leave Accruals</strong></li><li><strong>14 Paid Holidays</strong></li><li><strong>City of Lake Worth Beach Medical Benefits that include Life Insurance, Dental, and Vision&nbsp;</strong><strong>coverage.</strong></li><li><strong>Retirement Plan&nbsp;</strong></li></ul><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong><u>SUMMARY:</u></strong></p><p data-pasted=\"true\">Semi-skilled in operations of routing traffic control maintenance and servicing of a variety of medium and light pieces of equipment used in the Traffic Division. This includes pavement, sidewalk, curb repair, signage and striping for the traffic division.&nbsp;</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) setup, takedown, and maintenance</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Maintenance, installation and removal of roadway signage</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Maintenance, installation and removal of roadway striping</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Roadway pavement and base repairs</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Concrete sidewalk, driveway, and curbing construction and demolition</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Alleyway grading and associated work</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Miscellaneous roadway work as applicable</p><p><br></p><p><strong><u>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:&nbsp;</u></strong></p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Operates all types of equipment used in traffic control</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Must be able to read, write and speak English.</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Must be able to interpret written and oral instructions</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Ability to perform with accuracy, tape measure and mathematical calculations when laying out stop bars, cross walls and ADA disabled parking spaces.</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Must be able to work in various weather conditions.</p><p><br></p><p><strong><u>EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE</u></strong>:</p><p>High School Diploma or GED with six months experience in traffic maintenance related work is highly desired</p><p><br></p><p><strong><u>CERTIFICATIONS:</u></strong></p><p>Must possess valid Florida driver&rsquo;s license with an acceptable driving record (CDL Class B recommended)</p><p><br></p><p>Applicants for positions with the City of Lake Worth Beach should know and be aware of the following:&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Applicants for employment who become candidates for available employment positions should note employment is contingent upon satisfactory completion of all reference checks and pre-employment physical satisfaction.
