CLIMATE CONTROLLED!</strong></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Job Summary/Objective of Job:</strong></p><p>The Teardown Technician is responsible for tearing down Heavy-Duty Differentials to prepare them for remanufacturing.&nbsp;</p><p><strong>&nbsp;Summary of Essential Job Functions:</strong></p><ul><li>Remove all unnecessary Differential parts such as bolts, airlines, air components, bearings and catastrophic failure gears.</li><li>Fully disassemble Differential units based on SOPs&nbsp;</li><li>Take care of parts so they can be reused.</li><li>Place parts neatly and organized so they can be easily washed.&nbsp;</li><li>Hit Disassembly/Teardown daily goals.&nbsp;</li><li>Cross-train on alternate assignments and perform duties in other work areas as needed.</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.</li><li>Differential experience preferred but not required</li></ul><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Proven experience with mechanical power tools: Proficient in the use of various mechanical power tools, including but not limited to drills, saws, grinders, and sanders.</li><li>Mechanically inclined: Strong aptitude for mechanical tasks, with the ability to understand and troubleshoot mechanical systems and machinery.</li><li>Strong problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.</li></ul><ul><li>Knowledgeable of safe work practices required in the department.</li><li>Ability to remain goal-focused in a fast-paced environment.</li><li>Ability to coordinate/prioritize/organize.</li></ul><p><strong>Performance Metrics:</strong></p><ul><li>Task Completion</li><li>Productivity / Efficiency</li><li>Quality of work</li><li>Teamwork</li><li>Safe Work Habits</li><li>Dependability</li></ul><p><strong>Physical Demands&nbsp;</strong></p><ul><li>Lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 75 lbs.</li><li>Frequent walking and/or stooping</li><li>Speaking and hearing</li><li>Reaching, handling, and climbing</li></ul><p><strong>Travel</strong></p><p>N/A</p><p><strong>Disclaimer</strong></p><p>The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this classification.
