Join us as a <strong>HEALTH AND SAFETY ADVISOR </strong>and play a pivotal role in our dynamic world of heavy civil construction!</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>We are currently accepting applications to support multiple projects in <strong>NEVADA.</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Rotation</strong>:   Project dependent, most commonly 14/7</p>\n<p><strong>Shift</strong>:         12 Hours (Days and Nights)</p>\n<p><strong>Lodging </strong></p>\n<p><strong>& Food: </strong>    Lodging OR Living / Subsistence Allowance will be provided. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Pre-Employment Requirements:</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Successful completion of <strong>Alcohol and Drug Screening</strong></li>\n <li>MSHA Part 48</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>All Morgan Field Based Workers and Equipment Operators must</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Be physically conditioned to repetitively and safely lift up to 50lbs.</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Work a rotational schedule, up to 12 hours a day, for both day or night shifts as required and subject to change depending on project needs. </li>\n <li>Expect to handle noise and vibrations on the job.</li>\n <li>Be prepared for and willing to perform additional labour duties as / when required.</li>\n <li>Embrace the elements by working outdoors in all weather conditions. Whether it's rain, shine, or snow, you'll need to thrive in diverse weather environments.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Duties and Responsibilities</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Deliver engaging field-level orientations for employees and subcontractors.</li>\n <li>Lead and participate in impactful safety meetings, setting the tone for a strong safety culture.</li>\n <li>Serve as a role model for workers, demonstrating safety leadership and best practices.</li>\n <li>Encourage teamwork and a positive attitude to promote safe work behaviors.</li>\n <li>Monitor work performance to ensure adherence to Morgan’s Safe Work Practices and Procedures.</li>\n <li>Collaborate with employees, supervisors, and management to identify and mitigate site hazards.</li>\n <li>Perform worksite inspections, audits, and assessments, following up with coaching and support for corrective actions.</li>\n <li>Identify trends and leading safety indicators, sharing insights with teams and management.</li>\n <li>Investigate incidents and near misses with site teams and management, ensuring lessons learned are effectively communicated.</li>\n <li>Communicate policies, practices, and updates to workers while staying informed of any changes from HSE leadership.</li>\n <li>Drive innovation by identifying opportunities to enhance the safety management program and introducing industry best practices.</li>\n <li>Travel extensively to various project locations as the “go-to” safety resource.</li>\n <li>Champion our safety culture by adhering to Morgan's Safe Work Procedures and PPE policies.</li>\n <li>Maintain awareness of the surrounding environment and potential hazards, such as other equipment or personnel. </li>\n <li>Demonstrate exceptional judgement and problem solving skills.</li>\n <li>Demonstrating versatility in collaborating effectively with team members and independently taking ownerships of tasks.</li>\n <li>Operate 2-way radio</li>\n <li>Other duties as / when assigned</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Experience / Qualification Requirements</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Our ideal candidates will have:</p>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>Minimum of 5 years </strong>of recent experience as a <strong>Health and Safety Advisor</strong> <strong>on heavy civil earthworks</strong>, <strong>construction, road building or mining project sites</strong> is required. </li>\n <li>Advanced knowledge of provincial OH&S regulations and standards.</li>\n <li>Intermediate proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).</li>\n <li>Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to build positive relationships.</li>\n <li>Effective time management and organizational skills to handle competing priorities.</li>\n <li>Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to connect with diverse audiences.</li>\n <li>Self-motivated and independent, with the ability to show initiative and drive tasks to completion.</li>\n <li>High school diploma (required) with relevant post-secondary education (an asset).</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>About Morgan:</strong></p>\n<p>Over the past 40+ years, Morgan has completed over 5400 heavy civil projects.
