Overview At Morgan, we don’t just build projects, we build careers and futures! Join us as a HEALTH AND SAFETY ADVISOR and play a pivotal role in our dynamic world of heavy civil construction! We are currently accepting applications to support multiple projects in NEVADA. Rotation : Project dependent, most commonly 14/7 Shift : 12 Hours (Days and Nights) Lodging & Food: Lodging OR Living / Subsistence Allowance will be provided. Pre-Employment Requirements: Successful completion of Alcohol and Drug Screening MSHA Part 48 All Morgan Field Based Workers and Equipment Operators must Be physically conditioned to repetitively and safely lift up to 50lbs. Work a rotational schedule, up to 12 hours a day, for both day or night shifts as required and subject to change depending on project needs. Expect to handle noise and vibrations on the job. Be prepared for and willing to perform additional labour duties as / when required. Embrace the elements by working outdoors in all weather conditions. Whether it's rain, shine, or snow, you'll need to thrive in diverse weather environments. Duties and Responsibilities Deliver engaging field-level orientations for employees and subcontractors. Lead and participate in impactful safety meetings, setting the tone for a strong safety culture. Serve as a role model for workers, demonstrating safety leadership and best practices. Encourage teamwork and a positive attitude to promote safe work behaviors. Monitor work performance to ensure adherence to Morgan’s Safe Work Practices and Procedures. Collaborate with employees, supervisors, and management to identify and mitigate site hazards. Perform worksite inspections, audits, and assessments, following up with coaching and support for corrective actions. Identify trends and leading safety indicators, sharing insights with teams and management. Investigate incidents and near misses with site teams and management, ensuring lessons learned are effectively communicated. Communicate policies, practices, and updates to workers while staying informed of any changes from HSE leadership. Drive innovation by identifying opportunities to enhance the safety management program and introducing industry best practices. Travel extensively to various project locations as the “go-to” safety resource. Champion our safety culture by adhering to Morgan's Safe Work Procedures and PPE policies. Maintain awareness of the surrounding environment and potential hazards, such as other equipment or personnel. Demonstrate exceptional judgement and problem solving skills. Demonstrating versatility in collaborating effectively with team members and independently taking ownerships of tasks. Operate 2-way radio Other duties as / when assigned Experience / Qualification Requirements Our ideal candidates will have: Minimum of 5 years of recent experience as a Health and Safety Advisor on heavy civil earthworks , construction, road building or mining project sites is required. Advanced knowledge of provincial OH&S regulations and standards. Intermediate proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to build positive relationships. Effective time management and organizational skills to handle competing priorities. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to connect with diverse audiences. Self-motivated and independent, with the ability to show initiative and drive tasks to completion.
