This role requires a current NCCCO (National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators) certification and demonstrated experience in lifting, rigging, and material handling operations in accordance with OSHA and company safety standards.</p><p><strong>Minimum Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent</li><li>Valid driver&#39;s license</li><li>Valid NCCCO Certification in applicable crane types (Carry Deck and Swing Crane).</li><li>Minimum 2&ndash;3 years of crane operating experience in an industrial or construction environment.</li><li>Thorough knowledge of load charts, rigging practices, and crane setup procedures.</li><li>Ability to read and interpret blueprints, lift plans, and site layouts.</li><li>Strong communication skills and ability to follow direction from site supervision.</li><li>Proven commitment to safety and teamwork in a fast-paced work environment.</li></ul><p><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>Certification in heavy equipment operation</li><li>Experience working on construction sites</li><li>Ability to read and interpret blueprints</li></ul><p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Operate carry deck cranes and swing cranes to lift, move, and position materials, equipment, and other loads safely and efficiently.</li><li>Perform daily pre-operational inspections and report any mechanical issues or safety concerns immediately.</li><li>Verify that rigging and lifting gear are properly selected, inspected, and used according to load requirements.</li><li>Collaborate with riggers, signalpersons, and site supervisors to ensure safe crane operations within load limits and job site constraints.</li><li>Set up cranes and ensure stability through proper outrigger and boom configurations per manufacturer specifications.</li><li>Interpret and follow load charts, lift plans, and hand signals.</li><li>Maintain accurate and timely equipment logs, inspection records, and lift documentation.</li><li>Ensure compliance with all company, OSHA, and NCCCO safety requirements and site-specific policies.</li><li>Assist with general site duties as needed, including equipment mobilization, maintenance support, and material handling.</li><li>Participate in safety meetings, toolbox talks, and required training.</li></ul><p><strong>Skills:</strong></p><p>As an Equipment Operator, you will need to have strong hand-eye coordination and be able to operate heavy machinery with precision. You will also need to have excellent communication skills and be able to work well in a team environment. Attention to detail and the ability to follow safety protocols are essential.
