    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p>Hours: 3pm - 11pm, 12am - 8 am, 6pm - 2am</p>\n<p><span>●</span>&nbsp; Routine cleaning and maintenance; highly visible areas are cleaned on a regular basis including, but not limited to:</p>\n<p>Vacuum office areas weekly</p>\n<p>Empty trash containers in common areas</p>\n<p>Transfer trash from collection hoppers to dumpster, Wipe windowsills, window interiors</p>\n<p>Maintain vinyl flooring, including stripping/waxing as required</p>\n<p>Stairwells are maintained</p>\n<p>Papers and other work-related materials are not to be disturbed in workstations and offices</p>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p><span>●</span>&nbsp; Major cleaning (production areas)</p>\n<p>Production area walls, floors, ceilings are kept clean and done so in a safe manner. Floors are to be kept cleaned and waxed to reduce particulate contamination. Major activities coordinated with Production personnel.</p>\n<p>All production parts, tooling. And other miscellaneous production related materials are to be protected.&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;</p>\n<p>Materials and tools are not to be relocated by Custodians without Production personnel approval.</p>\n<p>All hazardous materials, whether owned by the Production department or Physical Plant department, are to be handled in a safe responsible manner.</p>\n<p>All cleaning chemicals are to be properly labeled.</p>\n<p>Ensure that all regulatory programs are adhered to, specifically the procedure for introducing new chemicals into use.</p>\n<p>Special training is required to ensure compliance with accepted clean room maintenance practices.</p>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p><span>●&nbsp; </span>Equipment/machinery</p>\n<p>Learn proper method of using machinery prior to use. All custodians are to be capable of using floor stripping and waxing equipment.</p>\n<p>Follow proper maintenance schedules and practices for all machinery.</p>\n<p>Coordinate repairs with Physical Plant technicians if unable to safely perform repairs.</p>\n<p>Maintain an appropriate level of consumable parts, e.g., belts, rubber wiper blades, etc.</p>\n<p>Ensure proper operability of rest room equipment, e.g., soap dispensers, paper product dispensers.</p>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p><span>●&nbsp; </span>Grounds maintenance</p>\n<p>Assist Physical Plant technicians and outside contractors in snow removal on walkways around campus buildings.</p>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p><span>●&nbsp; </span>General</p>\n<p>Maintain appropriate stocking levels of cleaning materials and paper products.</p>\n<p>Replace lighting in general areas when cleaning as required. Advise Physical Plant electricians of lamps that custodians are unable to replace.</p>\n<p>Supplement plant security by monitoring activities of outside contractors as required.</p>\n<p>Check all building perimeter doors to ensure that they are secure at the start of shift.</p>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p><span>●&nbsp; </span>Education &amp; Experience</p>\n<p>High school graduate</p>\n<p>Three (3) to five (5) years’ work experience with a minimum of two (2) years’ experience in custodial work within a manufacturing environment.&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;</p>\n<p>Experience in operating machinery associated with the position helpful.
