    "description": "<h2>Nature and Scope</h2>\n<p>RHC Patient Access Representative provides customer-service coverage in the front office of Plumas Rural Health Centers and the offices of Greenville and assumes the responsibility for successful financial outcomes of all patient services. Under the general supervision of the Patient Access Supervisor, this position performs imperative duties, including but not limited to registration, insurance verification, telephone coverage, data entry, documentation, and point-of-service collections, while maintaining patient relations, customer satisfaction, and Plumas District Hospital’s financial solvency.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Location</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>We are located 1065 Bucks Lake Rd Quincy, CA 95971</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Compensation</h2>\n<p>Compensation Philosophy: </p>\n<ul>\n <li>We have 6 pay increments on our clinical pay scales to compensate successful candidate for 6 years of relevant experience</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Compensation Range: </p>\n<ul>\n <li>$19.83 - $25.31 / hour </li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Job Status / Shift Information</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Full-time, benefited</li>\n <li>Monday-Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p>Prefered Experience:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Two (2) years experience in health care environment. </li>\n <li>At least one (1) to three (3) years of customer service.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Data entry and the ability to type a minimum of 25 words per minute Microsoft Excel/Word and good mathematical, reading and writing skills.</li>\n <li>Superb customer service, teamwork, and conflict resolution skills.</li>\n <li> Excellent written and oral communication skills.</li>\n <li> Must be able to work with minimal supervision.</li>\n <li><strong> </strong>Efficient time management skills and ability to multi-task.</li>\n <li> Strong understanding and comfort level with computer systems. </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Promptly fields and/or directs incoming calls, responds to patient and/or staff inquiries, and initiates patient triage, when necessary</li>\n <li>Completely and accurately documents all patient interactions (phone calls, etc) in the patient’s electronic medical record, including caller’s name, patient’s name if different from caller, call back phone number and a brief message explaining the reason for the call.</li>\n <li>Ensures all registration and admission forms are ready for patients to complete upon arrival for service.</li>\n <li>Practices proficient customer-service skills by greeting and treating all patients and staff with respect and discretion.</li>\n <li>Gathers and verifies all appropriate, confidential health and financial information from patients while using various computer software tools, to assure payment for all authorized services.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Benefits / Perks</h2>\n<p>Options offered to benefit eligible employees: </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Excellent Medical, Pharmacy, Dental, and Vision Plans</li>\n <li>Paid days for continuing education, bereavement, and jury duty</li>\n <li>Retirement Plans with 3% company contribution</li>\n <li>Voluntary Life Insurance and Long Term Disability </li>\n <li>Considerable Paid Time Off</li>\n <li>And more!
