Facilities Engineering and Commissioning Internship

The Facilities Engineering & Commissioning Intern will support the operation, startup, and optimization of critical facility systems within a semiconductor manufacturing environment. This role provides hands-on exposure to complex infrastructure systems and commissioning processes, while developing foundational knowledge across multiple engineering disciplines. Responsibilities: Train on core facilities engineering principles across mechanical, electrical, wastewater, ultrapure water (UPW), and controls systems. Assist in the commissioning and startup activities of facility systems to ensure operational readiness and performance compliance. Perform issue tracking and management within commissioning software platforms, including documentation, escalation, and resolution follow-up. Support cross-functional teams in identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving system deficiencies during commissioning phases. Participate in system walkthroughs, inspections, and functional testing activities. Maintain accurate records of commissioning activities, issues, and system performance data. Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and technicians to support project milestones and system handover. Follow all Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) policies and procedures in a high-tech manufacturing environment. Any other duties or responsibilities that may be assigned to you in your role. Skills Required: Interest in facilities systems, infrastructure engineering, or semiconductor manufacturing environments. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Effective written and verbal communication skills and a genuine willingness to learn. Basic understanding of engineering principles (mechanical, electrical, or process systems preferred). Strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and communicate effectively in a team environment.
