This role will report directly to the Accounting Transformation Manager and will play a hands-on role in supporting the month-end close process while partnering on initiatives to innovate, streamline, and automate accounting workflows.</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">The ideal candidate is eager to build a strong accounting foundation, take ownership of core close responsibilities, and leverage modern tools - including AI and automation - to drive efficiency and accuracy across the accounting function.</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>You Will:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Prepare and post routine and <strong>recurring journal entries to support</strong> the monthly close process</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Assist <strong>with month-end close activities, including</strong> reconciliations, variance analysis, and supporting schedules</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Perform balance sheet account reconciliations and investigate reconciling items in a timely manner</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Support the Accounting Transformation Manager in identifying opportunities to automate, standardize, and improve accounting processes</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Partner on the design and implementation of AI-enabled tools, workflows, and reporting solutions to improve efficiency and data quality</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Assist with maintaining and improving documentation of accounting processes and controls</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Support internal and external audit requests by preparing schedules and providing supporting documentation</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Collaborate cross-functionally with AP, FP&amp;A, and other operational teams as needed</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Contribute to ad hoc accounting projects and continuous improvement initiatives</li></ul><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>You Must Have:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Solid understanding of core accounting principles and basic U.S. GAAP concepts</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Proficiency in Excel, including formulas, lookups, and basic data analysis</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Interest in learning and applying automation, AI tools, and emerging accounting technologies</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment with hands-on responsibilities</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Strong communication skills and willingness to collaborate and ask questions</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Curious, proactive mindset with a desire to improve processes&mdash;not just execute them</li></ul><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Education &amp; Experience</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Accounting</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">1&ndash;2 years of accounting experience</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Exposure to ERP systems such as Microsoft d365 a plus</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">CPA eligibility or intent to pursue CPA is a plus, but not required</li></ul><p>A reasonable salary estimate for this role based on experience, education, and geographic location is: $65,000-$71,000</p><p data-pasted=\"true\"><strong>Equal Opportunity Employer</strong></p><p><em>CarParts.com is an equal-opportunity employer.
