We are proud to be formally recognized with industry and ministerial awards for innovation and environmental stewardship, while managing long-term contracts within both provincial and federal jurisdictions.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>We are looking to hire an experienced <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Heavy-Duty Service Truck Mechanic (Journeyman) </span>to join our growing team in <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Slave Lake, Alberta.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>As a Heavy-Duty Service Truck Mechanic, you will inspect, service, and maintain our range of heavy-duty equipment. You will be responsible for driving to the job site, inspecting equipment, carrying out services, conducting repairs, and providing routine maintenance to a diversified fleet. Some travel to remote worksites may be required for extended periods of time.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\"><span>Responsibilities:</span></span></p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Inspect, service, and maintain a mobile and off-road fleet such as trucks, trailers, and other heavy equipment for proper performance.</span></li>\n<li><span>Adjust, test, and repair engines, steering systems, braking systems, drive trains, vehicle suspensions, electrical systems, and air-conditioning systems.  </span></li>\n<li><span>Diagnose faults using computerized testing equipment.</span></li>\n<li><span>Adjust equipment and replace faulty parts.</span></li>\n<li><span>Repair damaged equipment parts and perform major repair work when necessary, including welding and cutting where needed.</span></li>\n<li><span>Clean, lubricate, and conduct routine services on heavy-duty and automotive vehicles.</span></li>\n<li><span>Consult with other Mechanics and Supervisor when needed.</span></li>\n<li><span>Prepare and submit necessary reports (daily, weekly, etc.).</span></li>\n<li><span>Actively participate in the compliance of the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Assurance System.</span></li>\n<li><span>Perform other duties as assigned.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\"><span>Desired skills and Experience:</span></span></p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Licensed Journeyman or Red Seal as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span><span style=\"font-size: 15px;\"> </span></span><span><span style=\"font-size: 15px;\">At least 3 years of experience as a Heavy-Duty Mechanic. </span></span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Must have a Class 5 driver’s license at minimum - Class 3 is preferred, with clean drivers abstract.</span></li>\n<li><span>CVIP license.</span></li>\n<li><span>Proven work experience with diesel or heavy equipment.</span></li>\n<li><span>Strong understanding of computer testing technologies.</span></li>\n<li><span>Extensive knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic &amp; electrical systems, and construction equipment.</span></li>\n<li><span>Welding and cutting abilities.</span></li>\n<li><span>Ability to lift heavy machinery.</span></li>\n<li><span>Ability to work after-hours if required.</span></li>\n<li><span>Effective communication skills – verbal and written.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span>We encourage all who are qualified and interested to apply in confidence, however, only those in consideration will be contacted.</span></p>",
