We are committed to a safe work environment sending every person home safe and healthy every day and leaving a sustainable legacy on our host communities.</p><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li>Take ownership in and accountability for maintaining safe work practices, safe workplaces, and safe operation and maintenance of all equipment&nbsp;</li><li>Mentor, coach, and develop underground mining personnel in safe and efficient lateral development practices&nbsp;</li><li>Provide hands-on training and field leadership in jumbo drilling, ground support installation, mucking, and development cycle optimization&nbsp;</li><li>Evaluate operator performance and provide constructive feedback to improve safety, productivity, equipment utilization, and overall development quality&nbsp;</li><li>Promote adherence to company safety standards, procedures, and operational best practices&nbsp;</li><li>Lead by example in hazard recognition, risk mitigation, and proactive safety engagement&nbsp;</li><li>Able to read cut sheets/maps, properly scale and map rounds, and maintain line and grade&nbsp;</li><li>Able to operate Single and Two Boom Jumbo&nbsp;</li><li>Able to operate 6yd, 9yd, and 12yd Loaders&nbsp;</li><li>Able to understand different rock types and drilling/blasting procedures to minimize over-break&nbsp;</li><li>Able to understand and follow ground support plans&nbsp;</li><li>Able to operate mechanized bolter&nbsp;</li><li>Able to operate shotcrete equipment&nbsp;</li><li>Able to handle explosives and load rounds in a safe and productive manner&nbsp;</li><li>Able to install utilities such as ventilation and air/water/discharge pipe&nbsp;</li><li>Assist supervisors and crews in troubleshooting operational challenges and identifying continuous improvement opportunities&nbsp;</li><li>Support onboarding and skills advancement of miners through practical demonstrations and field instruction&nbsp;</li><li>Maintain accurate training documentation and communicate progress and development needs to leadership&nbsp;</li><li>Perform other duties as assigned from time to time at the discretion of the company&nbsp;</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li>10+ years of underground mining experience preferred&nbsp;</li><li>Extensive experience in lateral development operations including jumbo drilling, bolting, blasting, and mucking required&nbsp;</li><li>Previous mentoring, coaching, or crew leadership experience preferred&nbsp;</li><li>Strong understanding of underground development safety standards and best practices required&nbsp;</li><li>Previous heavy equipment operation experience preferred&nbsp;</li><li>Ability to work safely and effectively in an underground mining environment required&nbsp;</li><li>Stable, consistent work history required&nbsp;</li><li>Proactive safety and environmental track record required&nbsp;</li><li>Ability to communicate effectively with all mine operations personnel required&nbsp;</li><li>Ability to deliver constructive feedback and hands-on instruction in a professional manner required&nbsp;</li><li>Ability to work within a team environment, work closely with peers at all levels with a professional attitude required&nbsp;</li><li>Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and decision-making skills preferred&nbsp;</li><li>Ability to perform the essential functions of this job required&nbsp;</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><i>&nbsp;</i><strong>What We Can Offer You&nbsp;&nbsp;</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li>A comprehensive compensation package including a competitive medical, dental, and vision plan with national provider networks, a 401k retirement plan with employer contribution AND employer match, paid time off, company-sponsored medical clinics, company match share purchase program, and much more!</li><li>Work in a dynamic, collaborative, progressive, and high-performing team.</li><li>Endless opportunities to grow and learn with industry colleagues.</li><li>Access to a variety of career opportunities across the organization.</li><li>Nevada Gold Mines is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><i>Thank you for your application, however, only those selected for an interview will be contacted.</i></p>",
