By working collaboratively with partners and continually innovating, JVH strives to be a leader in providing essential healthcare for the underserved, ensuring everyone in our community has access to quality healthcare.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Job Summary:</strong></p><p><br></p><p>The Student Radiologic Technologist takes radiographic images while performing a diagnostic imaging examination.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Assesses patient and their condition to determine proper handling and special requirements.</li><li>Explains and prepares the patient for all radiographic procedures.</li><li>Interviews patients and reviews available clinical data from charts in order to alert nurses and/or physicians to possible contradictions for procedure.</li><li>Relies on extensive knowledge of anatomy, physiology and effects of disease processes to properly and safety position the patient for maximum diagnostic yield.</li><li>Maintains radiographic equipment and x-ray rooms in proper working condition. Reports malfunctions and necessary repairs to supervisory personnel.</li><li>Checks stock inventory and initiates orders.</li><li>Attends all required Safety Training programs and can describe his/her responsibilities related to general safety, department/service safety and specific job-related hazards.</li><li>Communicates with providers on types of x-rays that can be done at JVCHC.</li><li>Downloads reports and distributes them daily.</li><li>Keep disc for records storage.</li><li>Orders UPT as needed on female patients.</li><li>Must have working knowledge of electronic medical records and how to navigate within the system to retrieve material.</li></ul><p><strong>Health Requirements:</strong></p><p><br></p><p>All employees are required to provide proof of vaccination for Flu, Hepatitis B and Tuberculosis (TB) as part of our commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy workplace.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Application Process:</strong></p><p><br></p><p>Interested applicants should submit a resume and cover letter through the JVH career portal at <a href=\"https://www.jordanvalley.org/careers-education/\"><u>Careers &amp; Education - Jordan Valley</u></a>.
