Assign drivers to trucks and make sure that they leave and arrive on schedule. Available at all times to answer any questions from drivers, help them avoid traffic jams and keep them aware of inclement weather ahead. Communicates and interacts with customers, vendors and co-workers professionally ensuring questions are answered accurately and in a timely manner. Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and perform any duty assigned to best serve the company.<br><br><strong>Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:</strong><ul><li>Assisting with the dispatching of drivers and notifying customers on route changes.</li><li>Answering incoming calls from customers, drivers, and internal departments.</li><li>Maintaining all DOT required files and other reports (vehicle inspection, fuel, and mileage).</li><li>Inputting data into our computer system and generate reports as needed.</li><li>Monitoring documentation for renewals such as driver licenses and medical cards.</li><li>Coordinating aspects of the hiring process; such as hotel reservations and expenses.</li><li>Assisting with the processing of driver payroll.</li><li>Performing other related tasks and duties as assigned.</li></ul><strong>The ideal candidate should possess:</strong><ul><li>Ability to work in a high energy team and be accountable.</li><li>Thrive in a fast paced environment and able to multi-task.</li><li>Ability to interpret information and problem solve in a variety of situations.</li></ul></div>",
