The Pharmacist will be responsible for providing consulting services and dispensing medical cannabis to patients. This individual will be responsible for working alongside the healthcare team in a retail cannabis dispensary environment. This position reports directly to the Pharmacy Manager.</p><p><strong><em>What impact you’ll make:</em></strong></p><p>· Oversees dispensing of all cannabis-based medications from our Cannabis Patient Centers (CPC)</p><p>· Diligently maintains accurate medical cannabis inventory, including processing returns and removal of outdated products from the CPC inventory.</p><p>· Provides direct patient care by conducting [virtual/live/telephone] consultations with approved medical cannabis patients</p><p>· Makes clinical decisions regarding which product(s) in our formulary spectrum to recommend based on a patient’s qualifying condition and other factors.</p><p>· Monitors patients’ drug therapies and qualifying medical condition(s) in utilizing the Minnesota Department of Health registry.</p><p>· Completes CPC operational requirements by organizing and directing technician work flow, verifying and labeling medications, and verifying order entries, charges, and inspections.</p><p>· Addresses questions from providers, patients, and the community.</p><p>· Complies with all state regulations and provides oversight for overall CPC compliance.</p><p>· Participates in record keeping and reporting necessary for State compliance.</p><p>· Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.</p><p>· Remains current on cannabis-based pharmacological knowledge.</p><p>· Educates and shares cannabis-based medication knowledge with the broader CPC team.</p><p><em><strong>What you’ve accomplished:</strong></em></p><p>· Licensed Pharmacist in good standing within the State.</p><p>· Preferred experience in both clinical and retail settings with emphasis on customer service.</p><p>· Preferred additional training in Cannabis Based Medicine.</p><p>· Available to work a flexible schedule of days, nights and weekends.</p><p>· Ability to stand for long periods of time.</p><p>· Maintains and safeguards entrusted confidential information.</p><p>· Proficiency in MS office and other required software.</p><p>· Ability to meet assigned deadline.</p><p>· Ability to assist and mentor new hires/PharmD students..</p><p>· Excellent communication skills, verbal and written, to communicate effectively with patients, families, co-workers and medical professionals.</p><p>· Prompt attendance to shifts and responsible time management.</p><p>· Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.</p><p>· Ability to function independently and proactively.</p><p>· Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.</p><p>· Ability to understand, support, and implement organizational policies/procedures and state regulations</p><p>· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adaptable to change.</p><p>· Maintains professional relationships with patients and co-workers.</p><p>· Ability to perform job duties effectively when under stress and maintain a high level of attention to detail.</p><p>· Ability to accept constructive feedback and grow with company.</p><p>· Analyzes information and implements quality control.</p><p>· Acts ethically and applies good judgment.</p><p><em><strong>Why Choose Vireo:</strong></em></p><p>Life’s too short to work somewhere that doesn’t ignite your passion.
