    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Job Description</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span>This is a unique internship opportunity<span style=\"font-weight: bold\">, in person at our Mindsight office in Somerset, KY</span>! The Therapy Intern’s role is to provide quality care and support to clients and their families, shadow and assist professional counselors who provide direct therapeutic counseling services to individuals, children, couples, families, and groups as appropriate to address the mental health needs of clients. The Intern carries out all counseling responsibilities in accordance with Mindsight's policies and procedures. </span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Responsibilities &amp; Duties</span></p>\n<p><span> <em>All duties are completed under supervision by a direct supervisor. </em></span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide direct/telehealth clinical treatment/therapeutic counseling as appropriate to children, adolescents, parents/guardians, couples and families.</li>\n<li>Assess client needs, develop treatment plans, implement interventions, review outcomes, revisit/revise strategies, and employ other methods compatible with Thrive’s principles and practices.</li>\n<li>Engage clients, supports, caregivers, and other key participants in active, change-oriented treatment by identifying and overcoming obstacles to participation.</li>\n<li>Collaborate with all relevant internal/external systems/participants to ensure buy-in and cooperation, and to maximize effectiveness throughout treatment. </li>\n<li>Link clients to additional resources as appropriate, including schools, medical/mental health support, etc. </li>\n<li>Maintain clear and concise documentation of treatment efforts, which promote peer and supervisory review and feedback.</li>\n<li>Participate in team meetings, staff events, community events, supervision, and internal or external professional development opportunities to extend knowledge and remain current on best practices.</li>\n<li>Maintain personal integrity and follow the guidelines of the national and state ethical codes of practice as well as Thrive’s codes of conduct. </li>\n<li>Attend regular supervision with direct supervisor per internship requirements for graduation. </li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Qualifications &amp; Skills</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Must be in a graduate program receiving a degree in counseling, marriage and family therapy or social work.</li>\n<li>Demonstrated knowledge of and sensitivity to diverse cultures.</li>\n<li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills.</li>\n<li>Flexible work schedule with the willingness and ability to work via telehealth.</li>\n<li>Valid driver’s license, vehicle, and laptop. </li>\n</ul>\n<p><span><br></span></p>\n<p><span><em>*This description reflects the essential functions of the Therapist role and is not an exhaustive list of all duties and tasks associated with the position.
