    "jobDescription": "<p><span><span>The Professional Services Veterinarian position is responsible for handling all field service veterinary medical professional needs, including advertising and promotional (A&amp;P) review, providing detailed product information, pharmacovigilance (PV) support, educational presentations, and training and coaching of sales team on technical aspects of American Regent Animal Health products.</span></span></p><p></p><p><b><span><span>Candidate ideally located in Central and Western United States, preferably near a major airport. </span></span></b></p><p></p><p><b>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</b></p><p>Nothing in this job description restricts management’s right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time.</p><ul><li>Cultivate an open, engaging, positive and expert communication attitude with every customer/veterinarian and employee interaction (internal and external stakeholders).</li><li>Respond to all veterinarian customer inquiries forwarded by field sales or overflow from Pharmacovigilance (PV) promptly and within prescribed guidelines.</li></ul><ul><li>Assist the field sales team with Q&amp;As and/or in-clinic product education presentations upon request (may be in person or virtual as needed).</li></ul><ul><li>Present appropriate branded and/or educational materials designed for veterinary school audiences, veterinary clinic settings, regional veterinary continuing education (CE) events as well as for end-user audiences; schedule presentations throughout the year at the request of Field Sales and/or Marketing.</li></ul><ul><li>Attend continuing education events/conventions throughout the year in support of commercial business, providing team training and veterinarian-to-veterinarian education and consultation.</li></ul><ul><li>Provide new hire and ongoing Sales personnel product and competitive product training as needed.</li><li>Facilitate medical/educational content development and review in cooperation with Marketing needs to ensure medical accuracy, audience appropriateness and in accordance with regulatory requirements.</li><li>Complete all assigned medical review for Programs &amp; Grants Committee (PGC) and Product Material Review (PMR) on time within validated system.</li><li>Support Medical Affairs/R&amp;D efforts to bring new products to market through evaluation of pipeline projects and support throughout drug lifecycle as requested.</li><li>Monitor veterinary industry publications, news, and events for potential impact on the Animal Health business.</li><li>Maintain and grow professional competency especially in fields directly related to American Regent Animal Health products.</li><li>Ensure regulatory compliance and medical soundness in all activities.</li><li>Provide monthly schedule of all travels and overview of previous month accomplishments. Manage calendar and field requests efficiently.</li></ul><ul><li>We all must embrace the QUALITY culture.</li><li>Perform any other tasks/duties as assigned by management.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Education Requirements and Qualifications</b></p><p>To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.</p><ul><li>DVM or VMD required with current licensure in at least one state.  Board-certification a plus but not required.</li><li>Minimum of 3 years’ clinical experience in equine and/or canine practice required.  Experience with both equine and canine practice is preferred.</li><li>Active Veterinary License, in good standing.</li><li>Prior experience in the veterinary pharmaceutical industry strongly preferred.</li><li>Must possess a basic knowledge of the equine industry or willingness to learn.</li></ul><ul><li>Experience in or knowledge of pharmacovigilance desirable but not required.</li></ul><ul><li>Strong interpersonal skills, team player, self-starter, ability to multi-task, and enjoy working on a variety of projects.</li><li>Experience in sales or a teaching/training environment strongly desired.</li><li>Excellent computer skills Proficient is MS Word, Excel and Outlook.</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as proven public speaking proficiency to all manner and levels of audiences.
