font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">Purpose of Role</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Own all quantity surveying duties on your projects to ensure all commercial &amp; contractual commitments are met &amp; value is maximized.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">Role Responsibilities</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Manage day to day commercial and contract activities</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Undertake contract administration, including change management and maintenance of associated registers (e.g. Change Order Log)</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Negotiate and obtain best value with placement of subcontract orders.</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Participate in the management of project budgets, cost plans and feasibility studies as appropriate</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Validate and approve sub-contractors’ interim applications and final submissions including compliance with the Construction Contracts Act</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Lead pre-appointment subcontractor meeting to ensure scope is clearly defined &amp; appoint subcontractor in line with FMC subcontract terms and with any flow downs from the main contract to mitigate any contractual risk</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Prepare accurate monthly Cost Value Reports for review with Commercial Managers /Project Managers/Contracts Managers and presentation to the Projects Directors</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Maximise cash flow through prompt submission of Monthly Valuations with full and accurate supporting documentation in accordance with the contract</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Negotiate, draft and submit Final Accounts including claims in respect of; loss and expense, delay and disruption and any time extensions</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Maintain a productive relationship with all the Design team professionals and Client representatives throughout the project</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Ensure the full and proper implementation of the Team Commercial procedures where delegated authority so requires</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">The Candidate</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Bachelors Degree in Quantity Surveying &amp; Construction Economics and or an equivalent degree recognised by the Society of Chartered Surveyors of Ireland (SCSI) and/or by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS)</span><br></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">3-5 year's of quantity surveying experience<br></span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Demonstrates a knowledge and understanding of the various forms of contract used in the construction industry (NEC, RIAI, FIDIC etc.) </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Ability to critically evaluate and identify gaps in documentation and commercial opportunity (contracts, drawings, specs, CVR’s) </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">In-depth knowledge and understanding of construction processes, techniques and systems</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">Demonstrates commercial awareness – market, competition, value for money </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;
