Discover all the possibilities of a career at Northside today.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>The Blood Bank Technologist I has responsibility for technical and regulatory oversight in the Transfusion Services and performs the duties of a Blood Bank Technologist I.</p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong><u>REQUIRED</u></strong></p>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree in a chemical, physical, biological or clinical laboratory science or medical technology from an accredited institution and applicants must be eligible for an appropriate certification examination.\n  <ul>\n   <li>Acceptable certifying agencies include: ASCP, NCA, AMT, AAB, HHS (HEW)</li>\n  </ul></li>\n</ul>\n<p>OR</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Associates Degree in laboratory science (Chemical or Biological Science) or medical laboratory technology from an accredited institution and certification as a Medical Technologist.\n  <ul>\n   <li>Acceptable certifying agencies include: ASCP, NCA, AMT, AAB, HHS (HEW)</li>\n  </ul></li>\n</ul>\n<p>OR</p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li> Graduate of a Military Program in Science (health science, biology, chemical, physical, medical technology) and certification as a Medical Technologist.\n  <ul>\n   <li> Acceptable certifying agencies include ASCP, NCA, AMT, AAB, HHS (HEW)</li>\n  </ul></li>\n</ul>\n<p>OR</p>\n<ul>\n <li> Grandfathered Medical Technologist by having previously qualified as a technologist on or before February 28, 1992 and current certification as a Medical Technologist. \n  <ul>\n   <li> Acceptable certifying agencies include ASCP, NCA, AMT, AAB, HHS (HEW)</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Ability to implement and perform clinical laboratory procedures according to proper standards and regulations.</li>\n <li>Must submit to a Color-Acuity screening Test</li>\n <li>Applicants must have completed (or be eligible for) an appropriate certification examination</li>\n <li>Acceptable certifying agencies include ASCP, NCA, AMT, AAB, HHS (HEW)\n  <ul>\n   <li>Acceptable certifying agencies include ASCP, NCA, AMT, AAB, HHS (HEW).</li>\n  </ul></li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong><u>PREFERRED</u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Experience in a Clinical Laboratory Setting</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Work Hours:</h2>11:00pm - 7:30am\n<h2>Weekend Requirements:</h2>Yes- Rotating Basis\n<h2>On-Call Requirements:</h2>No",
