This role ensures sensory‑friendly Masses are implemented faithfully as a formational pathway toward full parish participation.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>Essential Duties and Responsibilities of the Position</strong></p>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Program Development\n  <ul>\n   <li>Consult and advise on worship design for summer orientation and winter formation sessions; integrate accessible liturgical principles and aesthetics.</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Expert Guidance\n  <ul>\n   <li>Serve as a resource for participating parishes during Discernment and Ministerial Praxis years; provide practical recommendations for sensory‑friendly Mass implementation. </li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Best Practices & Publication\n  <ul>\n   <li>Curate and co‑author diocesan best‑practice resources; ensure fidelity to liturgical norms while promoting accessibility. </li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Specialized Knowledge\n  <ul>\n   <li>Demonstrate expertise in what a sensory‑friendly Mass is and how it can be implemented at the parish level; advise on what can and cannot be done regarding liturgy. </li>\n  </ul></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Other duties as assigned</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Position Requirements</strong></p>\n<p><strong>       </strong></p>\n<p><strong>Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Advanced study in liturgy or sacramental theology; deep familiarity with Church documents governing worship and adaptations for children and persons with disabilities.</li>\n <li>Instructional design, resource development, and collaborative leadership across diocesan offices.</li>\n <li>Ability to balance theological integrity with pastoral creativity; skilled in translating liturgical norms into actionable parish strategies.</li>\n <li>Strong communication and publication skills for diocesan resources.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Education and Experience: </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Minimum 3 years as a liturgist or diocesan/parish worship leader, with direct experience in ministry with persons with disabilities and accessible worship design.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong>Special Requirements: </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Demonstrated commitment to accessible ministry and practical experience accompanying persons with disabilities in worship or catechetical settings.</li>\n <li>Alignment with initiative values: imago Dei, incarnational theology, and the call to full, conscious, and active participation for all baptized persons.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong>DO NOT REMOVE</strong></p>\n<p>This job description is not intended to be an exhaustive list of the duties and responsibilities of the position.
