    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><strong><u>Job Summary</u></strong></span></p><p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\">The Senior Estimator operates with minimal oversight on preconstruction teams, frequently serving as the principal point of contact with the design team and the owner. Senior estimators are capable of leading all types of project delivery methods and have demonstrated competence in basic and advanced estimating functions. Desired estimating disciplines include earthwork, paving, underground utilities, and structures on transit, civil infrastructure, and highway projects. Successful candidates will prepare detailed take-offs, solicit quotes, develop cost estimates, and close out bids.&nbsp;</span></p><p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><strong><u>Key Responsibilities</u></strong></span></p><ol style=\"padding-left: 48px;\"><li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\">Advanced level HCSS knowledge of estimate entry and quote system tools.</span></li><li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\">Estimate all scopes related to their discipline area of expertise.</span></li><li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\">Perform detailed quantity take-offs on bid items and materials in order to develop all-inclusive cost estimates.</span></li><li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\">Estimate unit costs by analyzing crew composition, production rates, and equipment selection.</span></li><li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\">Participate in detailed reviews, providing thorough explanation of estimate.</span></li><li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\">Utilization of relevant cost history database to verify production rates.</span></li><li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\">Prepare supplier bid packages to ensure that self-performed work has competitive material quotes.</span></li><li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\">Coordinate junior estimators and interns with takeoff and vendor solicitation processes.</span></li><li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\">Assist in obtaining firm quotes for material suppliers, equipment and subcontractors.</span></li></ol><p>&nbsp;</p><p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><strong><u>Minimum Job Requirements</u></strong></span></p><ol style=\"padding-left: 48px;\"><li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\">Proficient use of all Microsoft Office Suite programs.</span></li><li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\">Preferred candidates will have obtained their LEED accreditation and DBIA certification, or express willingness to obtain.</span></li><li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\">Four</span><span style=\"font-family: &quot;Cambria Math&quot;, serif;\">‐</span><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\">year engineering degree or equivalent combinations of technical training and/or related experience.</span></li><li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\">Ten or more years of experience in an estimating role.</span></li><li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\">Successful history executing projects as the prime point of contact with minimal oversight for project teams.</span></li><li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\">Ideal candidates will have project experience in one or more key market sectors identified by the business unit.</span></li><li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\">Competent and thorough in Concrete Paving/White Paving/ PCCP Paving</span><ol><li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\">Identification of quarries and pits suitable for project use.</span></li><li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\">Production of aggregate, asphalt, and concrete through various methods.</span></li><li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\">Understanding of incentives, penalties, and PWLs.</span></li><li>&nbsp;</li></ol></li></ol><p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\">Note: Job Description is subject to change at any time and may include other duties as assigned.</span></p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\"><strong><u>Physical Requirements</u></strong></span></p><p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\">Occasionally will climb stairs, ladders, etc.</span></p><p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\">Will interact with people frequently during a shift/workday</span></p><p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\">Will lift, push or pull objects on an occasional basis</span></p><p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\">Will sit, stand or walk short distances for up to the entire duration of a shift/workday.</span></p><p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\">May reach above shoulder heights and below the waist on a frequent basis</span></p><p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\">May use telephone, computer system, email, or other electronic devices on a limited basis to communicate with internal and external customers or vendors</span></p><p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\">May stoop, kneel, or bend, on an occasional basis</span></p><p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\">Required to use hands to grasp, lift, handle, carry or feel objects on a frequent basis</span></p><p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif;\">Ability to wear personal protective equipment is required (including but not limited to;
