Join a growing team that's building a sustainable future — one rooftop at a time.<br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Position Summary<br>We are seeking an experienced Solar Crew Lead to oversee residential solar panel installation projects from start to finish. In this hands-on leadership role, you will manage a crew of solar installers, ensure installations meet quality and safety standards, and serve as the on-site point of contact for customers and project coordination. The ideal candidate brings proven solar installation experience, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to safety and workmanship.<br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Key Responsibilities<br>● Lead and supervise a crew of solar installers on residential rooftop solar panel installation projects<br>● Coordinate daily job site activities including material staging, equipment setup, and crew task assignments<br>● Install, wire, and commission residential photovoltaic (PV) solar energy systems per engineering plans, NEC code, and manufacturer specifications<br>● Perform roof penetrations, racking/mounting system assembly, module layout, conduit runs, and electrical connections<br>● Conduct pre-installation site assessments and post-installation quality inspections<br>● Ensure all work complies with OSHA safety standards, local building codes, and company safety protocols<br>● Manage on-site inventory, tools, and equipment; report material needs and shortages<br>● Communicate project status, issues, and timelines to Field Operations Supervisors and project managers<br>● Provide on-the-job training, mentoring, and performance feedback to crew members<br>● Deliver outstanding customer service — represent Better Earth professionally on every job site<br>● Complete job documentation, daily reports, and safety checklists accurately and on<br>time<br>● Drive company vehicles to and from job sites; maintain vehicle cleanliness and report<br>maintenance needs<br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Requirements<br>● Previous solar installation experience — REQUIRED<br>● Must be at least 21 years of age<br>● Valid state driver's license (clean driving record preferred)<br>● Ability to lift, pull, and push equipment and materials to complete assigned job tasks<br>● Ability to lift 50 pounds frequently throughout the workday<br>● Must be willing and able to climb ladders, stairs, and work on rooftops for extended<br>periods<br>● Ability to stand, walk, kneel, and work on feet for long periods of time<br>● Ability to work in extreme environments including hot sun, cold weather, rain, and<br>crawl spaces<br>● Great attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship<br>● Excellent written and verbal communication skills<br>● Excellent customer service skills<br>● Regular, reliable, and predictable attendance<br>● Ability to work well with others in a collaborative team environment<br>Preferred Qualifications<br>● NABCEP PV Installation Professional certification or equivalent solar industry<br>credential<br>● Experience leading or supervising installation crews (solar foreman, crew lead, or<br>team lead experience)<br>● Knowledge of NEC electrical code, residential building codes, and solar permitting<br>processes<br>● Familiarity with various roofing types (composite shingle, tile, flat roof) and mounting<br>systems<br>● Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus<br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>What We Offer<br>● Competitive pay: $30.00 – $35.00 per hour<br>● Career growth opportunities in the booming renewable energy industry<br>● Hands-on leadership role with a supportive team culture<br>● Safety-first work environment with proper training and PPE provided<br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Better Earth is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
